I know the figure isn't out yet (well at least not where I live) but does anyone happen to have some insider information to know if Wild Bill's vest is removable? It looks like it would be (or at least would be with a little cutting). I was thinking that torso and arms, with a different pair of legs and the Ace head would make a great and easy Ripcord custom (you could even paint in some camo is you wanted to go all out with it).

It'll be removable -- Ace uses the same mold and his harness is removable.

That kinda sucks because Ace is so tall. Taller than Gung Ho and Roadblock even. I love the figure but just hate that he is so much taller than the others. Maybe it wont be noticeable when he's sitting in the Dragonfly. :-/

I took a hobby hacksaw and chopped off 1/8" or so from his midsection (right at the belt) and now he's a more reasonable height. He's still too tall to fit in a Thunderwing with this goofy helmet on, but then again most 25As are anyway. Unmodded Ace fits fine in the Tomahawk & NAC, and my modded one fits better with more headroom. Don't know about the Dragonfly - I don't have one anymore. I'm doubtful, though.

Wild Bill will need the same treatment, I'm afraid - and with his giant-ass Stetson, he'll be even taller. If I mod him like I did Ace, he'll probably fit in the Tomahawk & NAC with his hat on just fine.

The main reason I modded Ace in the first place wasn't so much for height (I figure WB would be a tall guy - like 6'4" or something) but because his arms looked so damn short in proportion to his body - like he had to bend down to scratch his ass. So chopping off a bit from the lower torso made a big difference. And using the X-acto saw means I didn't have to use putty or paint to touch it up afterward - just cut & re-glue and it's completely unnoticeable. And I may also take a bit off his lower legs as well to drop him in height just a tad more. I'll get some pics up later when I get the chance.

Yeah, Hasbro really needs to work on the 'abdomen-stretching' issue. It's almost tragically funny the way the JvC figs had nearly no abdomen at all and now the 25As have too much. Hasbro must have been saving up all them JvC guts and used them to double up the 25As, lol.

The sad thing is that the internal engineering isn't causing the stretch in any way I can see. There's a good 1/4" of empty space between the top of the socket for the middle upper ball of the metal t-bar and the bottom of the hinge for the ribcage swing joint, in all the figs I've ripped apart thus far

Perhaps the WWE BnB torso engineering would be a better route to go?.
