Not just a restaurant, the restaurant at the top of the Space Needle. And, in fact, the entire Needle was a secret rocket ship. I was pretty disappointed when I visited the Space Needle and found out how boring it really was.

Some of my favorites...

-Cobra Commander trying to take over the world using balloons.

-Destro trying to summon Cthulhu

-Cobra Commander trying to carve his face on the moon with a giant laser (...that certainly couldn't be better used...I dunno...by pointing it at GI Joe?)

-And my favorite....the General Hawk robot whose identity was only discovered because it didn't realize that a harmonica that the real General Hawk had given to a small child was actually a swiss army knife that included an attachment that, when focused through the real General Hawk's ring, produced a powerful laser. Yeah, why WOULDN'T you give that to a kid. "Hey, Billy. Thanks for touring our super-secret military base. As a souvenir, here's a laser that can destroy a tank. Have fun."

8-O I don't remember that. Yet another reason I'm not a fan of the cartoons.

I remember an episode where the Joes put a rocket motor on a couple skystrikers and they become spaceships. Later in the same episode while in space, the Joes piloting them ejected with a safe landing on earth.

G.I.Joe and Cobra vs a polite Giant Sea Serpent

a Giant man who talked to a robot clown,... and played with toys (sounds eerie,.. and familiar, huh?)

Snake-Eyes bussin' a move onstage, beakdancing

G.I.joe & Cobra vs South American Caveman? (without insurance)

As a child that episode messed me up, I thought every thing that could fly could go into space. I also saw an episode of AirWolf were it when into space.

Fatal Fluffies (and their "Deadly Secret"), GamesMaster, Ghost Brigade, Synthoids, Madame Veil's fate... Serpentor!

I can pretty much accept Iceberg turning into a whale and Cobra Commander turning into a snake after all that stuff. Even Cobra La's like, "Eh, whatever. Hidden civilization in the Himalayas. Sure, probably."

Man, Joe messed me up, too.

even to this day, the mind-numbingly annoying willyouworkwillyouworkwillyouwork from bazooka saw a sea serpent.

also that weird episode where shipwreck goes on acid and everyone melts around him. kidding, but that was still a mindtrip for a kids cartoon.

I was always vaguely disturbed by the "Now you Know" segments in the cartoons. Always seemed like the Joes were hanging out near kids houses, schools, playgrounds. I remember one where a Joe like came up to a kids window to offer helpful advice.

Where were the parents in these neighborhoods?

Father:: Honey our son and his friends are outside talking to a mentally challenged looking man in a #14 Jersey with a bazooka and another man in a red and yellow suit holding a flame thrower.

Mother:: That's nice dear, let's watch Donahue now.

Maybe it wasn't Cobra the world needed to worry about?
