EDIT: New info added for Pottsville picnic.

With spring almost upon us, I figured it was time to get the ball rolling on the picnic again.
Come one, Come all!

Place: Terrence Riley Building, Pottsville, PA
216 N 12th St Pottsville, Pennsylvania 17901

Date: May 30th 2009

Time: 9am-5pm

Food: Potluck's been working so far, so we'll keep it that way.

All are welcome to attend. Items for sale or trade. Show off your customs. Get out of the house and mingle with some fellow joe fans. I'll be making a Picnic Exclusive Custom again this year and I encourage people to do the same( coughDarkwyntercough :shifty: )

Sounds good so far millsy. I believe may 26th is out for me but not sure what day that is just yet. Other then that I am all free for any of weekend in may-june. I will be bringing alot of crap to sell/get rid of. Will be making good deals, but not really wanting to trade. Maybe for figures or small vehicals and such. As some of you may know I am cutting back my collection. Oh and for the first time since we have done these I will actually have the same vehical as last year hehe.

Yes I'll be there. Four years already? Wow.

I'm good except the weekend of Wizard World Philly, which is in the middle of June.

I won't post my needs list just yet, since I imagine I will find the figures before then, but like always I am game for any vehicle drivers you can part with *ahem Python Viper ahem*.

As for stuff I have an idea for a cool diorama. I better start planning it!

I think we should do a mini movie. Nothing spectacular, just something quick and fun. We can pick characters we resemble, or not, and have a simple plot. Like Cobra Commander is selling poision hot dogs at the park.

Can't wait to see you guys again. Expect big bro hugs from Chuckles!

The new Diaper Viper has kept me lurking mostly, but I should be good for this year. I had an idea for exclusives, but would need some info from you guys. I will watch this thread for a head count, but could you also post up your ideal exclusive figure style (ARAH, newsculpt, or 25th). Also if we do a project like the movie short, do we have a theme for customs like in previous years?

Wow. You know, that's just over a 5 hour drive from Hamilton Ontario.
I may even come down for this.... Crap... 5 hours!?? You guys could even drive up to Hamilton for the Canadian Joe Con and score some cheap toys.

I haven't been to PA in about 10 years now for a toy show..... it seemed alot farther back then.

Believe me, if it wasn't for the whole being laid off thing, I'd be there in a heartbeat. I've mapped it a couple times.

Any chance of this being moved to a more southern location?

Seeing as most of us come from the south or west on I-78?

Thoughts?

Still thinking Eastern...but just a tad more south...for instance....Pottsville Area.

Considering the bulk of the past attendees have either been from Jersey or south of Wilkes Barre...I was just tossing this out there to save a little driving time for those who made the trek up north in the past.

Also...kinda taking into account the events of last years event of PoetFlint's car getting broke into and having his customs stolen. Not to say Wilkes Barre is a bad area...but it is on the news in Eastern PA a good bit anymore for crime.

It's just an idea...thought I would throw it out there to gauge response to it. Pottsville is very close to both I-81, I-80 and I-78 for those travelling on the main roads.

I haven't been to the Western side of PA, like going towards New Jersey, except for the one time i rode with my dad a few years ago to visit my brother in Middletown, near Harrisburgh, but i made it as far as Altoona, PA, i usually go there once a month or once every 2 months to hit the local Target and K-Mart stores and their TRU.

Me thinks you got your East and West mixed up. Jersey is East of PA...no?
