yeah, the design is fantastic. My interest level is :nearbursting: But the KS strategy and certain parts of the team give me pause, which, again, has been in place since day 1 of the thread, and sadly become more pronounced rather than less.

Cautious and hopeful, but end of the day the price point has to be realistic to play ball, for me personally.

EDIT: and to pick up jm70's point, if one figure is $25, how will anyone support an all-in when even the best case of all stretch goals = $30 per figure?

That's... not very smart

FYI - if you're in the states it's $25 + $8 shipping if you just get 1 figure.

I'm in for the barkeep, mainly for the beer mug and beer barrel.

or doll house accessories for that matter.

Hoping the math gets tweaked to make a little more sense as we get further under way

yeah. this was the KS I've been most interested in since BFS and their blanks and skeles -- but I'm waiting, too.

the other thing I've learned from KS is that the delivery isn't until 12/17 -- and, if BFS & MTF are any indication, that's a best-case scenario date.

Since they're using the MTF buck and the same foctory both MTF and BFS used, things should run better and quicker each time and they should all get better at making target. Mind you, *no* company really makes target on a wholly-new venture; but the factory has experience now and shouldn't have any atypical issues once these go to press, imho.

There are other things that unlock at pretty low money levels that involve accessories like guns, holsters, vests, hats, and 5 bucks that unlock one at a time as it gets higher. Sounds like the bucks will be painted in unique colors and be ready to "customize". Man I really hope this one works out.

I think the stretch goals are way to high and I don't much care abut accessories I will already get with the figures or can get for less money through another source.

I want the Johnny West lookalike but 375k until it unlocks?????? I don't think that will ever happen. I hope I'm wrong but don't think I will be.

They are not generating the same kind of excitement as HACKs did. Show me posses and side by sides with other figures in the 18th scale.... sell me on why I should want these. Don't just show me fancy computer mock ups.

Dang, 'Mr Patience'; give the campaign more than one single day to show everything off, lol.

Yeah, I was a little confused on the math, too. They make it sound like they're taking a bath on All-In prices, but the opposite seems true. Hrm.

Too funny - sitting here tonight watching a documentary about western lawmen, and they start talking about Bass Reeves. Then I realized this is who the Territorial lawmen is modeled after. Pretty cool.

Below is a response by the KS staff to an inquiry about upping the guaranteed number of figures to 15 from 6 to entice more people to go all in even if it meant having to get duplicates of some characters if all stretch goals were not unlocked:

"First, thank you for your support! I have addressed these concerns in the FAQ which I've copied below for you. As noted there, Boss Fight started there all in at $500 for the first wave of four figures, and the KS exclusive 2 pack and Bronze Spartan. Ours is very comparable I think, with the goal of "All-IN!" pledges being a show of faith in the project to get it done, and rewards being opened up as a way of making those pledges have great value. At the end, if they want to participate I encourage them to do so with the thought in mind that they can always change the pledge if they want to go up OR down with regards to rewards as they open up, which they will.

From the FAQ (please feel free to copy and paste, or direct them to it here):

Right now the "All-IN!" pledge guarantees at minimum 6 figures including the Badlands Vigilante exclusive. I understand your concern and reason for inquiry, but let me point out that If we are unlock every stretch goal, then the "All-IN!" package becomes a t-shirt, sticker, 15 carded figures (including the exclusive), 5 Buck-A-Roos blanks, 10 different Boot Hill Loot accessory and gear sets. Much more appealing.

Obviously, I understand you want to guarantee a big bang for your buck and investment return and if everything is unlocked the "All-IN!" is the best deal by far. The idea of the "All-IN!" pledge is to insure that the project gets done first, and secondly can become a bargain. It's a gesture of faith to insure a good project sees the light of day, and not a pre-order for a store.

Also be aware, that you can pledge at whatever amount is comfortable for you, and change that at any time as stretch goals unlock and become available. I would also like to point out that Boss Fight Studio set their "All-IN!" package start at the beginning at $500 for wave 1 of four figures, an exclusive 2 pack and another single exclusive figure along with a t-shirt and print. Very comparable in terms of initial offering.

In the end, pledge what you are willing to do, and feel free to change it up as things become more to your liking. We are just glad you are interested and willing to participate!

Forgive me for forgetting to add this as well: To change up our pledge structure at this point to try to match what other KS campaigns are currently doing would require us to re-price every level. We've already absorbed a mark up from manufacturing due to a drop in number of each character produced (from 3000 per, to 2000 per) for the "All-IN!" packages, and any further revision would send us back to the drawing board completely with regards to costs vs. rewards. This was necessary to lower our overall numbers and keep us from crawling over the $550,000 mark in terms of funding required to do everything. No KS for action figures has even gotten close to that.

I understand what others are after in terms of trying to have us match what EF is doing, and we simply cannot. Their factory is not the same factory we are using (we are sticking with the same guys used by BFS and MTF), and EF was able to get a much lower MOQ (minimum order quantity) on each figure and overall lower per unit price. Personally, I am inclined to stay with a known entity when it comes to the quality of the final product even if it costs us a little more. Thanks again, and please feel free to inquire about anything else that you need! -John @CFT"

That is still $500 for 6 figures. That's what, $83 each?

The key word is "if". It would be great that an all in would turn into all this swag, but that is still a big if.

I don't know the exact break down of the other Kickstarter campaigns, but right now looks like $500 for 6 figures and then if we're lucky, it could end up being the 15 figures, etc.

Even if only two more exclusives get unlocked, 8 figures for $500 is still $62 each...

Am I missing something here or is my math right?
