Actually this is one of the best of the 25th sculpts. You can never have enough. I can always use some more divers. I'll probably repaint them to make Barracuda & Dolphin from Action Force.

That can't be a Movie Deep Six.

He's not wearing an accelerator suit!

Man, how the hades did I totally miss all the pictures of him from Toy Fair? :-| Oh well, my own blindness aside, I like it. It's not necessary, definitely nothing special. And yet it looks GREAT like that.

yeah, I'm using it as a basis for Wetdown too. good call on that one, Macrossmaster!

So we're getting a Shipwreck and a Deep-Six figure in the movie line even though those characters aren't in the movie. I wonder if there will be an aquatic level in the GI Joe: The Movie video game and these figures are based on that.

I'm willing to bet they're the first two of many, MANY characters in the movie line that will have no parts in the movie. Look at the first Transformers movie line, for every one movie character there were like 4 non-movie ones in the same waves.

the Joe video game appearance is probably a good theory on the source for some of the toys.

Which is actually where I got my theory. A lot of those non-movie figures were the Decepticon and Autobot grunts in the Transformers movie game.

That is definitely a possibility. There are strong rumors that Shipwreck does at least have a cameo in the film as well, and considering he has a unique head sculpt in the figure, I'd say this is probably based on that.

It took 27 years to get the first one so if we use that as a baseline we'll get another Hard Master figure just in time for the "G.I. Joe Part 14 Ninja Force Attacks!!!" film.

I don't know. Obviously we didn't have to wait 27 years to get Mirage v2, but how long before we got Mirage v5? They have a Hard Master mold with an original head, I'd expect at least one more by 2011.
