GREAT idea!!!!

Along those lines:

Airwolf (with a new Molded helicopter)

Street Hawk (make a new head, NOT a Black TARGAT)

also

Firefly/ Serenety (WHY HAVENT THESE BEEN MADE!!!)

Formula 51 (You know you want a Meatloaf figure)

or
Fight Club

Blade Franchise

This one is PERFECT. with the vampire craze it would work, and between the TV show and 3 movies, theres tons of characters:

5 different Blades (Blade with coat, Blade II "armoured Blade, Shirtless "Pissed off" Blade, Tv "sticky fingaz" Blade, Blade III Vs Drago Blade)

2 Whistlers (Regular and vampiritic whistler)

Abigale Whistler (with guns and Untraviolent bow)

Hannibal King

and the villans alone would be a line all to themselves! (I definetly want a Blood Pack set)

I've been waiting 25 years for a 3 3/4 accurate Colonial Viper!

I'd rather have Samuel L. Jackson with the cornrows.

Semi-realistic possibilities:

-Firefly: 3 3/4" versions of those characters would be easy to do. They probably wouldn't sell, but considering the push toward licensed collector-targeted figures over the last few years (somewhat dying out, but still...), you never know.
-James Bond: mentioned by several people; it's a crime that there hasn't been a decent line of Bond figures. And they could get around the whole "single-main-character-based line" problem because Bond has worn a ton of different outfits and gone through six actors (seven if they threw in a Peter Sellers figure!). And the villains...it would be so sweet.
-Dune: I hear (sadly) that they're taking another shot at making a film adaptation, so this might actually happen. Personally, I'd love to see figures based on the Lynch version. What can I say: it's one of my favorite movies.
-Predator: sure, it was rated R, but it's a shame they never made figures of the human characters from Predator.

Unrealistic possibilities:

-Buckaroo Banzai: who doesn't want a Peter Weller figure?
-Remo Williams: Fred Ward has never had a figure made of him. Ridiculous.
-Any Western: Tombstone, the Sergio Leone westerns, High Plains Drifter...pick one and make some figures.
-Kurt Russell's greatest hits: Snake Plissken, Jack Burton, and MacReady from The Thing. I love the guy; I'd like to own a figure of him someday.

That's all for now.

Pick any movie to tie it to, but give me a Civil War figure line.

Bond of course! Then I can get those 1/18 cars!
Masters of the Universe
CLASSIC Battlestar Galactica
Original & Next Generation Star Trek I thought I read somewhere that they were thinking about making the original crew.
Stargate
Ghostbusters
Mattel's wrestling figures now that BnB are going away.
Blade Isn't there going to be another Blade movie? Captain America & Thor may get their own lines with those movies. Oh & there may be another Ghost Rider too.

P.S. DCIH does have ball hips now. Of course they are still releasing the old sculpts anyway too.

MASK would be awesome. I'd buy the hell out it at this scale.

Battle Star Galactica with ships. Both new and old series done with the full range of articulation.

5th Element. I'm still surprised their aren't toys of this movie.

The full Star Trek universe.

yeah, BSG all the way. I'd take any version of a Viper in this scale over an X-wing toy any day. And even haters of the newer series should recognize the gold that would be figures from these characters. Especially if made Joe style. And I'll echo the other comments that includes any existing 3 and 3/4 inch line that simply falls short because of lame construction - Terminator, Star Trek, Avatar, to some extent Indiana Jones and Star Wars, DCIH. Those are all just based on my own personal tastes though, of course. and I still buy them all for parts anyway. lol.

I love these lists though, as many of them have items that are on my long list of to-dos for customizing. Other than gaining the extra fodder from a production line, I'd rather make my own figures anyway.

Looks like you guys have hit on most of my to-do list.

I would've loved Six Million Dollar Man in 3 3/4". And a classic Star Trek TOS line, with sets and shuttlecraft, would've rocked. I'll even throw Ark II in there, 'cause even though the show was overly preachy that was one way-cool RV.

I've been waiting 25 years for a 3 3/4 accurate Colonial Viper!

Stay tuned. I intend to get back to my Viper project shortly.

MASK for sure. Silverhawks would be great too. Masters of the Universe in the 4" scale would be nice. May as well say 4" since that's pretty much what they're all at now. But yeah there's a bunch that would be neat, I just wouldn't know what to do since I really need to stay away from other new lines.

agreed on Dune. Lynch's version was kind of a separate story of its own, different from the book in so many ways, yet fully awesome in its own way. I remember watching it like 20 times the summer I was studying for the BAR exam.

Top of my list would be:

- Blade Runner
- Firefly/Serenity
- James Bond
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel
- Wild West Line (Billy the Kid, Wyatt Earp, Butch & Sundance, Lone Ranger etc.)

Completely agree with what a lot of the requests made so far (Ghostbusters and Back to the Future especially).

Some stuff I'd love to see in 25th/RoC/Marvel U style:

-The Rocketeer
-Blade Runner
-Monster Squad (been wanting a 3.75" figure of that Creature From the Black Lagoon for years!)
-The Goonies
-Inhumanoids (mech suits and in-scale monsters!)
-Batman Begins/The Dark Knight/Arkham Asylum
-Bioshock
-Metal Gear
-Watchmen
-Pulp/serial heroes
-The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
-THE TICK! (comic & cartoon)

Mythbusters...think about it; you get Adam, Jamie, Tori, Karri, Grant and Scotty, you could get a but load of really cool 1/18 scale shop tools, not to mention an Imapla with rockets mounted on top, a boat powered by K type O2 canisters and a multi-use machine that swings a swords, flings a hat and debunks an Angelina Jolie movie. Think about the awesome beach cruiser that Tori figure can use to attempt an unsuccesful bunny hop over a wagon.

Monster Garage...I know my Joes can use an Exploder that picks up trash, a Mustang to mow the lawn and Porsche that collect golf balls. There were two or three of the vehicles made into toys, but they were more along thelines of something you'd see made by Playskool or Fischer Price for toddlers.

People...action firures are Sci-Fi heroes/villians, military heroes/villians and comic book super heroes. How about some average Joe people.

I wouldn't mind adding a couple more 1/18 scale tractor trailers to my small collection.
