Personally, I think the pictures that eBay hosts suck. They are too small and you have to click through them if you capture a shoppers attention that far. I always put the photo(s) in the description so it jumps out at the shopper. Past that, I make the text bigger and center it. Give it a nice bright heading and a couple of other points. Not too much, but it does the job I think.

Thanks for the tip, I'm going to try this approach when I relist the Night Raven and the Skystriker (after restoration), maybe even a fixed price with best offers.

Doesn't eBay still allow listing templates or did they get rid of that? I don't sell often enough to use one, but if I did I'd go with something quick & easy to format with like that.

I miss the bigger thumbnails on the pages though.

You know, I'm actually a big believer in toy karma.

I've bought multiples of items I thought I wanted, then realized I only needed a few, and I've generally made back what I paid and then some when I sold those items. But the few times I've bought extras of something I know other folks are looking for just so I could make a buck, I've wound up stuck with the item and eventually traded it for something far more common.

Not sure why it works that way, but it almost always does.

About the only time I do well selling stuff is if I'm selling customs and, even then, it's toally inconsistent. I've had figures listed with more than 10 watchers and upwards of 20 bids that sell for $50 but, if I make one just like it and list it two weeks later, I'm lucky to see $10.

My advice is to go into it with no expectations and never spend more acquiring items to sell than you're willing to lose (coincidentally, that's exactly my philosophy when I go to Vegas and I'm almost always pleasantly surprised there).
