Anyone know if sales figures for the Flagg were ever released? How many of those were sold I wonder. Is 5000 barges needed a crazy number? It seems like not that many but maybe it is.
Apples and Oranges. There were more Flaggs because it was a national release. But it was also a marketing tool Hasbro knew would loose money. It was a shelf space hog and a premium price few families could afford. But it was a way for Hasbro to tell the industry and their competitors that GI Joe was still THE Brand to contend with.

The HasLab venture seems like the safest possible way to approach this right now without investing too much. I'm not sure how many more people out there want this right now when there is nothing else out there to go with it.

Yeah, I'm not too sure about the wisdom of choosing the Barge for their first project. I would've preferred a $500 Death Star playset, myself. You'd have to beat the preorders for that off with a stick, imho.

I wonder how many people plopped down the $500 for the LEGO Death Star. How many people out there are spending that kind of money on stuff?

I think if they had done that you'd have choruses of people saying "A Death Star playset? For 500$? It's just a backdrop! They should have done Jabba's Sail Barge! People have been asking for it for it years! It would have funded in a week!"

As the saying goes- "Nobody knows nothing."

I think where Hasbro misstep is by not making it an actual crowdfunding endeavor and making it a pre-order. Make the base level 500$ but let people donate more and get some sort of recognition. There are potentially deep-pocketed fans who don't need 5 Sail Barges... but would have kicked in 1000$ or more just to make it happen.
Give them a name on the box "immortalizing" them in figure history or some perk.

When you consider $200 for a single room size configuration of those new modular panels, it doesn’t sound so bad really

There's an $800 Lego Millenium Falcon out there right now with 7500 pieces.

Hey that’s only a dime per piece.

Again, I’d love to know how many were sold.

Hang on a hot second: are those the 6" figures they show with it, esp the Nikto Guard? Is this bastard even for us 18th collectors?

If this fails maybe they should make it 2.5 feet long and $300 for the 3.75 crowd. Hell, I may be in for that and I don’t even collect Star Wars stuff beyond about a dozen figures.

This is for the 3.75" figures.

The Nikto 'Vizam' figure is from a few years ago.

The Yak Face and Klaatu skiff guard figures are new.
Both are coming out in the Vintage line, on ROTJ cards, next year.
Yak Face is also being included with the barge, on an exclusive vintage style POTF card with coin.

It also includes a repainted re-release of the Black Series Jabba figure that came in the TRU exclusive 'Rancor Pit' pack.

For a 4 foot long vehicle, that figure seems tall to be a 3.75. These photos are deceiving.

Measuring approximately 4ft long, this vast vehicle is a dream item for any Star Wars collection. Designed to captivate and inspire, The Vintage Collection Jabba's Sail Barge (The Khetanna) features exquisitely detailed, fan accessible decks that complement 3.75-inch figures (not included) allowing fans and collectors to recreate intense battles in the Star Wars saga. Its removable side panels also offer a unique opportunity to pose and set up incredible dioramas. Complete with premium deco, vintage packaging, and soft cloth sails, this dream product offers Star Wars devotees the quality and realism they know and love. Included with the vehicle is Jabba the Hutt (3.75-inch scale figure).

That's also Yak Face in the picture, who is taller than the standard 3.75" figure.
Not massively so, but he is at least 4" or so, if not closer to 4.5".

Yeah; my bad, y'all. The Klaatu (not Nikto) I was worried about is unreleased atm. The ball hips and torso joint along with the thigh swivels on top of not really existing yet threw me off.

Wow, not only did the barge reach the 5,000 goal today, but it already has an additional 360 past that!

So far the total orders placed today is somewhere in the neighborhood of 900, and still going up at a pretty good clip.
