The only time Hasbro's been on-time with a media release is when they included the DVDs with the figures.

Hasbro has been behind for a while in releasing stuff on time. On the bright side The Mandolorian series will be back for more seasons.

About 3 months after the show ended... Great timing on their part. I understand wanting to keep the Child secret, but the Mando should've already been released in the TVC.
They should've made a whole line based on the show. Bounty hunters, the raiders, imperials... just in time for the Holidays too, but I guess toys sell better in March.

I'm guessing that also had a lot to do with Disney+ trying to keep everything under wraps. But if you look at the Black Series, they were able to get a handful of releases out during the holidays.

Yeah, but the thing is, like a few around here, I collect 4" figures :)

During the Legacy Collection days (holy Molly, that's 15 years ago already), we would have gotten a full line of figures and vehicles based on the show. I don't know if it's Disney, Hasbro or the state of the toy business that's responsible, but it's sad.

Looks like it's roughly the same size as the Imperial Combat Tank, which was also $80, so that makes sense.

And apparently Hasbro still hasn't renewed their license with Disney around Star Wars and Marvel, so they're likely taking it easy on investing new tooling that they won't be able to recoup in case they don't get the license again.
