The battle corps Roadblock is my absolute favorite mold of RAH.

I also had a fondness for Armored CC and IG Destro.

Tundra Ranger Stalker is a great artic version of the character.

While alot of people hate Python Patrol, I thought the Trooper was one of the best army builders (black with highlights as well as gray helmet and red mask). I jus tthought he looked cool.

I agree too that alot of comic pack figs are awesome (Scarlett, Lady Jaye, Rock n' Roll, short fuse ect)

Also I am probably one of the few but I actually prefered the V2 BAT mold (but I hated the colors, when the internet exclusive came out I was very happy, only thing he lacked was more arm attachments).

Serpantor V2 is much better than the V! paint job IMO.

I have some criteria for the other versions.

-What is the iconic version of the character?

-Is the redo changed for a mission specific or just an update?

For the most part, I think the first version of the character is the one I go with and the others are other characters.

Ace v1 is the only version. The 97 one is either the Skystriker RIO or a Flagg Skystriker Squadron pilot. The Helo version is a generic flight suit-maybe the pilot for the JOE F-16.

Deep-Six will always be in the diving suit, although it might be modernized so it's not bulky. The v2/mail-away one is a Flagg repair diver. The EW one is another character.

Stalker v1 (could use the CP one, any other sculpt just isn't Stalker, IMHO)
Beachhead v1 (BC one is another character)
Bazooka v1/TF version
Clutch v1
Scarlett v1
etc...

Also if we are talking the figures themselves, all of the early versions (up until 1985 or so) would be the LIVEVIL style so they fit in better with the bulkier latter figures.

Considering he has done the original 13, Gung-Ho, Airborne, Roadblock, and I'm not sure how many others-I'd like to see what his versions of Cutter, Mutt, Doc, Torpedo, Snow Job, etc would look like.

I think at some point I'd have to dig out my various guides and actually figure out what I'd use each one for...

not to get too OT, but i always felt like the figure was designed to be a v2 iceberg, and they changed up the name to keep the copyright going on stalker. i mean sure he's a ranger and all, but the whole kayaking and mask thing didn't make sense for his character, at least to me.

also, gung ho v2 is a pretty nice upgrade. even if he's like v2 destro and has a useless sword in scabbard as an accessory :P and ribbons to sticker on to him.

Agreed. The v1 gets all the love out of nothing more than nostalgia's sake, which I can't give a lot of respect to. I've still not heard a good reason why a disposable robot needs to wear clothes.

Rock 'n Roll V2 improved upon the '82 version. Although the original RnR had the only distinctive/unshared chest (except for Scarlett, of course) of all of the single card figures, the second version is just great.

The head is very distinctive. The sculptor even made him a few years older- the figure has crow's feet around the eyes!

It's too bad that we never got a release of this figure in an olive drab color scheme.

Not trying to take it off topic either, but what reason would they make a new Iceberg, Stalker fits better since other orginal Joes got upgrades in 1989 (Rock n' Roll, Snake Eyes) which is the same year. Iceberg doesn't fit in theme or reasoning (He had just been out 4 years before and wasn't that popular, not disliked, but I doubt he was in any top ten remake lists that year either).

I think Deep Six V2 is considerably better than his first version.
