I just thought I'd put in my .02 cents, coming from a transport business point of view, but I think we might be drifting a little bit close to the no politics area...

you can check out exxon's or any other public company's sec filings going back a few years at secfilings.com, can see stuff like exxon's 1997 Sales and other operating revenue, including excise taxes being $197,732 million and net income being $ 11,732 million.

2007's?
$ 390,328 million in sales & other operating revenue with net income of $40,610 million.

Not surprisingly net income per share's also gone up but i didn't feel like looking into stock issues & stock buybacks over that time to see how many shares are out there right now heh.

The only multiples I've ever gotten from the 25th Ann line so far were Cobra Troopers/Officers/CGs and any figure I needed for customs (like an extra Stalker with the improved crotch and then put Roadblock's head on the old one to give him that Original 13 look). The same principle goes for characters too (unless I have to get extras in a multi/comic pack). The only exception being a major improvement to the figure (like v1 style Snake-Eyes in black instead of gray). Now that v3 style Snake-Eyes would make for a great custom so I'll pick him up and use him as a base for a rogue Fred idea I have bouncing around in my head.

The last I read over at RebelScum was that Star Wars figures are going up to around $8 a figure this year. That was my cue to get out.

That's horrible. They are already $8.99 at my K-Mart & $9.99 at Kohl's. The vintage-styled ones were MSRP $9.99 had great articulation, cool retro cards, & a plastic case.

i kinda want to see if they'll make more Force Unleashed figures. but it's too hard to find them and gotten to a point where i'd rather concentrate on Joes again than messing with star wars & other lines. wish i had a mcrebel trooper so i could call that part of the collection complete and feel more "done with it". other than EVO figs, there hasn't been much i've been impressed with.

and i gotta save up for those BATs (i'm ignoring the vipers, may pick up a few if i see them around though)
