If this is true, I'm okay with it.

Instead of this leading into a separate MASK line, though, I'd prefer to think that this is simply how Matt Trakker happens to exist in the world of GI Joe- where there is no MASK organization or the goofball technology that powers it. Hopefully, there will be no gimmicky mask that he wears.

Perhaps the GI Joe world is a "parallel universe" to MASK- where GI Joe happened, but MASK didn't. Several of the other characters would fit in well to a world where they don't have superpowered masks. Miles Mayhem, naturally, would be a good fit. Sly Rax as a Drednok? Ace Riker as a jet pilot?

Should MASK exist within the world of GI Joe? No. Importing and altering the characters to fit GI Joe lore? Sure.

Yes, we need a freakin' Miles Mayhem figure now too.

But I still think, until we see the pictures, that he is good old Tracker.

Well, according to him...he has an in with a Hasbro guy. You figure, and this is totally my opinion, that if this figure gets a buzz...chances are we may see a new MASK set.

Heh. I knew what MASK was, and I knew that was their logo. That was just my way of denying Chief the satisfaction on having cleverly modified my t-shirt, such as I did for him here:



And I understand that people are happy about this character, I really do. It's just not for me. I would be perfectly happy to have H stage their own seperate MASK revival line, provided none of my Joes got bumped for them to do it.

And I know that in all likelihood, if I like the figure I will get it regardless of his background, but I'll still think it's pointless.

Now they need to make Jake Rockwell: Rugged Land Operations Specialist. Jake Rockwell would be a good fit in G.I. Joe.

Well, I'd much rather have Matt Trakker instead of the "Storm Shadow in Rubber Duckie Poncho with Wellies" that'd likely have actually taken up this slot instead of the "Ultra Kickass Ultimate Bullhorn" that people imagine would've otherwise been produced.

Centurions would've been a great fit with Sigma 6. I dunno how well the exosuits would work in 3.75", and I wouldn't want to see them in their civvies they wore on the cartoon. I will say the Dollar General Ace figure we got was dead on for Ace McCloud, head and face-wise.

I love MASK, I still think this is weak.


I'll probably get it.

TNI got confirmation from Hasbro that this will be a one time crossover paying homage to 80's toylines.
