Apparently no Headman. BOOO! Why bother to call them Headhunters then?

Why no drugs? I know it's too taboo for Hasbro to touch these days, but you'd think the bio for "Adult Collectibles Not Intended For Children Under 12" could have the Headhunters running cocaine out of South America where they've been hiding.

Overall kinda generic.

Remember Hasbro has final say in what the Club does, so even though these are for "Adult Collectors" Hasbro still does not want Joe linked to drugs. It all will fall back on Hasbro, so best to play it safe and have the Headhunters run guns instead of drugs.

Not in Marvel. He may have been one of the characters Devil's Due killed on in a list, but he definitely survived his two (three?) Marvel appearances. DiC, however, had him in his drug factory exploded, overdosing as he was crushed by debris.

I think it was DD, but I think it followed the Marvel series, and was written by Hama. It showed him being taken out on his boat, and I think Cobra gave them the means to track him. I think this was supposed to take place around the end of the Marvel run, or shortly after.

I could be wrong, but I really don't think so. I'm fairly certain.

EDIT: Never mind, I am certain. And it was Marvel, issue #127. Cobra Commander uses a Joe weapon to wipe out Headman's boat/drug shipment going to Broca Beach.

I don't have that issue. I thought Headman only made the two appearances, and always heard he is the only character to die in the cartoon but not in the comics. Not that anyone else died in the cartoon.

Actually, Cobra shanghaied the SDI laser in Manhatten to zap the Headman's boat.

At the end of the issue, Cutter & co. are pulling the Headman into the Sharc 9000 as a captive, sputtering and still alive. That was the last he was seen, to my knowledge.
