more pics of this would be great, the joe community could use alot more info on pre production art and what not.

Apparently, you should ask for stuff like this more often:

This is another amazing piece: both the busts and the artwork. I can't get enough of the '95 stuff and seeing pieces like these come out of the woodwork gets me interested in Joes again.

What?! Real, topical, academic content on YoJoe :shifty:

I'm really excited to see more thoughtful items like this showing up. I'm working on keeping stuff like this coming as it develops.

That is an excellent piece and a fun look into what might have been. The artwork and figure model looks like it would have been a really good Joe figure, but it would have made a terrible Shipwreck IMHO.

Yeah, I'm not seeing Shipwreck. It looks more like a new version of the Battle Corps Bazooka (which would probably be a good base if making a custom of this version of shippy).

Thats a very cool write up Kevin has done on that artwork. I'm hopping that he'll continue to showcase his extencive artwork and pre-porduction collection like that.

i kind of read that article as the shipwreck torso being the same as the one for the footloose figure that also didn't get made...so now i'm all confused. :( other than the pics being of shipwreck heh.

it also helps explain the head sculpt/design used on the ..VvsV shipwreck that came w/ the patrol boat and the green repaint

I believe the VvV "Shipwreck" was intended to be a completely new character by the name of "Frontline".
