Cool figure.

I hate to be negative, but I don't get the thinking behind this KS. They have refused a guaranteed number of figures in the all-in, even if its duplicate figures that are already unlocked. They reluctantly added a mid level pledge and said it was against all sense and judgement. They have now added a troop builder and are not including it in the all-in. I'm pretty much positive my all-in pledge of $450 is going to be reduced by at least half when I decide I want to pay $25 instead of $70 per figure and not have to pay extra for the troop builder. I honestly think reaching $200,000 is optimistic, let alone $375,000 which is required to even out per figure prices between packages.

i understand your frustration as i have been frustrated at the EF kickstarter, and im not trying to debate or argue with anyone. but im not sure what you mean? i was of the understanding there were 6 figures once the funding goal is met, and of course anything that gets unlocked after that for all in.
the boss fight had 4 figures for the initial funding goal, plus i dont remember if the celestial figures or the bronze figure was part of the initial goal. did they guarantee anything more than that if the other goals werent unlocked?

i agree about the mid level pledge, but they gave in on it. im also worried alot of stuff might not get unlocked because the EF is almost over and still not half way to where the Western one needs to be. i have wanted a good modern western line for so long.
i cant really say anything about the pricing because they have been working on it and balancing out what it requires and i have no idea about that stuff. i still hate the timing of it and the EF sort of going up against each other.

its all the more frustrating because so many people are hesitant about it, which means maybe never getting to the next series which has alot of the even cooler stuff in it.

Newwavepop, It's the attitude shown by alyosha that we need to do our part to get it done without really working with us to ensure we get value out of the all in pledge. They didn't want a mid level, they gave no clear instruction on add ons to single figure or now the mid level pledge. Just give an amount for add ons like the others did. It's as if they were trying to force everyone all in. Not everyone can afford that and if they want us all to go all in, guarantee 18 figures to give value. Not just what unlocks. It really makes no difference to them if we get multiples of the 6 base figures and the soldiers. If anything they should want to sell more figures. Why would I pay significantly more per figure with the all in if nothing unlocks? The bottom is gonna drop out of their all in pledges. I don't see any way they get enough unlocked to make that work money wise for us. And I'm very uncomfortable pledging money for add ons with no clear plan laid out. I just want it to be clear. And now that the army builder is a non all in add on only, I may as well just drop the all in pledge now and go mid level with an add on soldier. Which is like $250 less for them.

The BFS campaign didn't have any All-In exclusives, although there were a couple of KS exclusives. The appeal of the All-In package was the ease of ordering, the bragging rights, and most significantly the value over time as they blew through the Unlocks.

I'm wondering whether having the Vigilante be All-In exclusive is actually hindering this campaign's progress (even though I think it's really the EF campaign 'leaning' on it fir a few more days). It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me for both CFT and EF to put barriers to product when BFS showed an example of stupendous success by allowing people to simply order anything they wanted in any combination.

The argument against a guaranteed number of figures makes no sense to me because it's basically building in add ons up to $450 beyond whatever is unlocked. Why would they not want that? And why can't they be the new soldier?

And if it's because of the whole all in exclusive vigilante, they can limit that to 2 or 3 per all in package.

What is the point of an all-in exclusive? Why limit what and how much of your product people can buy? As a small start up, why don't they want to sell as much product as they can? Why not make everything available to all supporters in whatever quantities they want to buy. What is so special about all-in? As a potential buyer, I may even spend more than the all-in level if I could build my own package of figures including the Vigilante. Ten 100$ pledges are better than one 1000$ pledge because that means 10 customers rather than 1. Marauder and BFS understood this during their campaigns. Seems that EFR and CFT have not arrived at the same conclusion.

Personally, I believe that is part of the reason that EFR did not reach its full potential (there are a bunch of other reasons that I won't go into). It's what put me off these Kickstarters. I did not pledge for EFR, and as cool as the figures look, I won't be pledging on this. Oh well, more money for new Joes :-)

I was all in but as I think about it, and trust me I like these figures, I pulling my money and probably spending it elsewhere. All in means all in, one of everything. It doesn't mean you get these but these are extra. If that was the case then they shouldn't do an all in or do like the mtf valfs and have the extras offers afterwards in the backer kits things. At this point I may pull out of EF too and spend all the money between boss fight and mtf.

I wouldn't be surprised if this KS failed. which would make me sad, as this is the one I've been most excited about since VHACKS. I also wouldn't be surprised if this was the last action figure line that tries to use 'all in' as a selling point.

These guys would have been better off with four figures, a modest goal, and realistic pricing. I think I saw on FB that the eventual retail (if they make it to market) on these figures will be $30.

More power to them, but that prices me out.

4 distinct figures, easily swapped like MTF (torsos and waists I mean), would still be an infinite amount of possibilities.

I feel like the pricing accounts for a lot of distinct sculpts that is pretty ambitious.

It's not going to fail. It's going to be below expectations I would bet. I'm all over promoting Eagle Force right now and I'll shift gears to DNL when that wraps up. I hate that there are people that are so adamant on being against EF, but I'm not going to demand any support there.

Anyway, on DNL, the all in will only be worth it when more stuff unlocks. That will be the big issue with the way people are on kickstarter. Some realize their card isn't charged until after so they are ok pledging the all in. As it gets closer though, if it's not far enough along, people will adjust their pledges. That will look scary for a bit as the money will go up and down for a while. Then you have that last minute push and some of those people could readjust back to an all in.

That's what I'm expecting though. Right now Eagle Force is wrapping up. Last 2 days, and I'll only say if you have any interest at all, now is the time to get in on it. Once it wraps up, I would think there will be more people who will look at their spending allowance and figure out how to adjust some for DNL. It goes until Nov 12th so there is plenty of time for people to get what they want on EF and still put something on DNL. You just won't see a good idea where things are heading though until probably toward the end of the month.

Serious question, not trying to be a jerk here: obviously, the economics of the all-in for this Kickstarter are insane (unless it reaches a level of funding that seems extraordinarily unlikely at this point), and I'm sure that's dulling the response to this project significantly. But do you feel like the weirdly confrontational tone of the updates and responses to questions and comments is hurting it, too? I ask because I was really curious to see how the community would respond to a project produced and promoted largely by someone with such an overwhelmingly negative reputation as a businessperson, and instead of trying to turn over a new leaf, it seems like that particular individual has really doubled down on the contentiousness.

I would say the tone is hurting. It makes people like me, who have only heard stories about said person, pause and think.
