I messed with them when I first got them and everything was fine then. But a month or two now that the weather has gotten cold I've broken 3 or 4 of them. They pegs are just to thin and brittle. You might not like kickstarters going past schedule but at least that extra time seems to be good for the quality control and durability of the figures. I'd rather get the figures later than we're supposed to and have them not so fragile. BFS and MTF took longer to get to us than they were supposed to but, with the exception of the skeletons, those things have been very solid.

I really don't see what's so hard to understand or eye-rolling about this.

They have made improvements to the face paint on certain figures. If you've already bought the previous version and just want the updated head for your figure, they will check to make sure you actually purchased the figure, then send you an updated head for any figure you purchased for free, and you only have to pay a low flat rate shipping fee of $5.

They are improving their product and offering previous customers a chance to get the improved parts, after the sale. Kudos to them for continuing to improve, and not forgetting about the people who've helped them get this off the ground.

For the record, I've had zero issues with my figures, and have already ordered a substantial amount more since receiving my initial kickstarter haul. I also don't have a problem with any of the old heads so don't feel the need to take advantage of their offer, but applaud them for doing it.

I have an impression that dumping Alex Wu from the line that I understand he basically created turned out to be a bad choice as it got us figures that were obviously rushed through production. I'm assuming Alex was fighting for the BFS quality we were assuming we'd get but would end up losing them too much money if they kept to Alex' standards. But now that the remaining ZL guy sees how let-down everyone is he's scrambling to make up the difference so the line can thrive.

I dunno that I see that being successful; assuming I'm even seeing the landscape properly.

I have two figures from this line and I’m not impressed. The paint is awful, it’s not the same quality the I have seen in other lines. I almost went all in and I’m so glad I didn’t. However, if these had been the same quality as BFS I would have been kicking myself but they aren’t. So I’m not out of much. These two will eventually be repainted and given new heads.

From a customizer standpoint, these are pretty much exactly what I wanted them for and I’m still ecstatic about them. I haven’t had any issues with broken joints, but it definitely helped being warned beforehand. As far as paint, I can absolutely understand being let down if you’re keeping them as is, but we have to honestly say we’ve seen way worse on mass market lines by bigger companies.

I posted these in the customs section a while back, but for anyone who hasn’t seen them:

Those all look fantastic BRNN!

I am making a couple of Nathan Drake customs too, though mine are far more LBC than yours.
Basic Drake just the Ethan figure with a Jack head and Marauder shoulder rig.
Uncharted 3 Drake using the Jack upper and right now the Ryan lower with 2 right thighs to eliminate the 'damage' look on the left. Though I may switch to a Zombie 002 lower, done the same way, since those legs are more tan than the brown Ryan legs. Then used Marauder shoulder rig, ammo bandolier, and shemagh.

Making a Lara Croft using BFS female orc lower, ZL Ashley upper, and BFS Penthesilea head and arms.

Along with making a custom of my youngest son's Ghost Recon Wildlands character using ZL parts, I'm waiting on more figures to get here to try a bunch of mixing and matching with zombie parts and some BFS skeleton parts.

I don't have any pictures of my stuff yet.

Hi D-B :shifty:

What heads did you use for the various Laras? I'm gonna need to update my Lara, it seems.

Just the ZL female heads with sculpted hair, until I can get a hold of some decent classic and modern Lara heads that I can shrink.

The quality control fell on its face a bit, but to be fair this project was incredibly ambitious. They more different sculpts than other projects, and had more accessories than other projects, and more paint apps than other projects. And they released very close to their deadline.
