Also, for the person who said that the name Indiana "came from the dog," what Jones sr. actually meant was an in-joke. Lucas' pet Alaskan Malamute, Indiana, who was also the inspiration for Chewbacca (the dog would sit in the passenger front seat of his car), gave Indy his name.

Is anyone else supplementing their German forces with Forces of Valor, bbi, or 21st Century figures? I bought a FoV obergranadier today from Target because I have yet to find the German single packs or deluxe packs, and I needed a driver for my cargo truck dammit! :D

He works ok, but is about 1/4 taller than the Indy figures, which is ok with me, as a little variance in height never hurts a collection of figures, especially army-builders. I never bought into any of the WWII figures, but now I'll be picking up Germans just to supplement my Indy collection.

Oh, and I picked up the Soviet soldier today. Pretty basic, but cool figure. I'll probably get more excited about him once I see the movie, as I'm used to Indy fighting Nazis.

They might have some stuff at the show on Sunday. I'm hoping to pick up the German truck there. If not I'll stop by Wal-Mart after.

I'm sure they will be at the show....at the usual "mark-up" scalpers seem to think they are entitled to.

Not to be a jerk, but I found alot of the figs at the TRU in Edison, but passed on them due to lack of funds. I'm sure they'll be around again.

ps. What show?

Considering I have a decent collection of German figures from 21C and FOV already, these are my basic German forces. The 21C DAK figures are among my favorites, so they are the ones who are "enjoying" the new truck. I used the extra head from one of the 21C DAK figures, along with a PTE body, to make a generic driver. If you're interested in using the 21C DAK figures, watch Walmart, as they have some 2-packs for $9.

The German 2-packs from the Indy line I use as generic mercs/grunts to build up my Russian units (the Colonel has to have SOMEONE to order around besides the one other Ruskie).

And can I give Hasbro some props on the packaging of the German truck? NO TWIST TIES!!!!! Just open the box and go. Its flippin' awesome!

I got my oldest son and I a couple of Indy figures, and my youngest son the Indy vs. Native Adventure Heroes pack yesterday.

I like the figures a lot, but why has Hasbro completely forgotten how to make good hands?!
So far it looks like the first wave of Indy figures (atleast the ROTLA Indy w/ Temple Idol and KOTCS Indy w/ Crystal Skull) are back to the horrible 1st wave 25A hands. No seperate trigger finger (it's molded on there, but it's attached to the rest of the fingers), no closing thumb to actually hold items tightly. He holds his stuff fine, but if you try to have him use his whip, as soon as it hits something it will be knocked out of his hand.

They have been doing a great job on the Star Wars figures' hands, and the newer waves of 25A seem good too. Why can't they seem to get them right the first time any more?

Either way, the coolness of the Indy figures made me order a couple of German trucks today and some German drivers and extra soldiers for the back of them.

I finally made it out today and got myself some of the figures. I got the Crystal Skull Indy, the Marion/henchman 2 pack, the german 2 pack and the single pack German soldier (all 3 are the same figure just painted different), cemetary warrior, the Russian soldier, and Colonel Dovchenko. I didn't see Irina anywhere. I want to get her and I might get a few extra Russians and Germans to round out my set. I didn't see the bike and will wait until I do before I decide on that one. They are pretty nice figures though.

Hi guys, newbie here, wasn't sure if I should start sifting through all 13 pages or not, but anyone know where I can see some nice up and close detailed pictures of the new figures? I wanna virtually dissect a couple figures for some customs.
Oh, and anyone know who all is out?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, that link is exactly what I was looking for. I'll head off to Toys R Us and see what they have. Are these at all stores right now? The Target by my wife's work didn't even have them out.

There's a Toy show the first of every month in Wayne, New Jersey.
I did manage to pick up the truck for $24. Also picked up several German two packs at KB this afternoon. I'm still searching for the 10+ 21st Century German figures I have MOC. I had wanted them for the Indy Dio pics I posted yesterday, but no luck.

came up empty handed today, wanted to get a couple Germans for customs but couldn't find any. I saw the two big vehicles, and really liked them. I'll have to check another ToysRus and Walmart down the way, I'm sure after the couple weeks, they'll start to sit on the shelves a little more.
