Picked up the Quinjet and Cap mech thingy. The mech is pretty cool, but the quinjet is freakin' AWESOME! I love the swing-wing type feature and it's a very cool design.

You can't just say that, you have to make a thread with lots of pics. I really want to see it and what it can do.

I tried but mY Iphone cant seem to email right now- if anyone wants pics pm me their phone # and I'll send- IMO it's that cool.

So yeah, when is somebody going to take some pics of the Quinjet? I can't decide if I want to break down and get it or not.

Also, do the mech suit figures retain full articulation?

The mech suit Iron Man is the same as the IM 2 figures from the mid torso joint up. He doesn't have the same level of hip articulation, only has single knees, and no ankle articulation at all. But for something I'll be leaving in the suit, and with other Iron Man figures with an identical design overabundant, the reduced articulation doesn't bother me. Didn't pick up Cap, so I don't know how he compares.

I spotted Avengers toys at TRU today.

It's kind of silly how the "Deluxe" figures now sport more articulation than the standard ones.
Sure, it's mainly thanks to being repaints of Captain America and IM2 figures, but still.

Also, anyone see that Captain America 6-wheeler thing? It looks so ridiculously awesome, I'm having flashbacks to ARAH-era Cobra!
I'm seriously considering getting one, but I'd like to see some loose pics first.

I picked up the Cap tank yesterday with a mind towards giving it to the Iron Grenadiers. It's well detailed, and I like the look. The interior is tiny though. The box days it holds three, but unless you're cramming them in like clowns that's not going to happen. It has designated space for a driver and that's it. Hoping I can mod in a gunners seat at least. If it were useable out of the box for what I'd envisioned I'd get another one or two, but right now I'll be stopping at one.

Saw the Avengers stuff at TRU today. Only remaining single card figures were 2 of the blue repaint Iron Man. All the others were gone, nabbed by a scalper no doubt. They also had 2 each of the armor suits. Almost snagged the Iron Man one but grabbed a Quinjet instead (pics coming tomorrow if no one beats me to it). And they had a full 2 rows on the shelf full of the Iron Man Justice Jet repaint.

They also had the 8" figures, the little vehicles with molded riders and some role play stuff.

And here we go . . .

Image

As you can see there's only one actual seat inside the vehicle.

I was actually surprised that it held two figures side by side. It certainly wouldn't hold two of the Cap figure that comes with it side by side, but that figure is both a bit taller and less poseable than the Joe figures I used for the pics.

Image

You can fit a third figure kind of wedged in the back, but there's a sculpted engine and vents and such back there, so it's not really intended for a figure. The opening hatch is kind of cool, but, even more impractical than most hatches on toy tanks. There's simply no reason for it to be there, and anyone standing in it would be totally exposed. Now that I see it can hold two figures side by side I like it more, but if I do decide to get another I'm waiting for clearance. I do like the overall design of it, it's just not as playable as I'd like. And I just now noticed the running boards with footpegs on the sides. Guess that's what they meant by "Holds 3 Figures" just y'know, awkwardly positioned on the outside very much in the way of the vehicles weaponry.

I also found some of the line at Wal-Mart today, looks like Wal-Mart and TRU are getting different initial shipments. None of the stuff I've seen at Wal-Mart for single figures is anything that any of the TRUs have had yet.

Couple WM's started putting the stuff out today, but only 1 put out the single carded fig's. Finally got Utilmates Hawkeye & Unmasked Cap. Really like the mold for the unmasked Cap as it's more movie accurate from the Cap Movie than the chunky version from the Movie Cap line, despite the reduced articualtion on the Avengers version & non working holster.

Looks like a perfect Cobra tank to ride up along side a couple of Rage tanks. I just hope they hit clearance as I figure they will along with showing ups at ROSS and other stores.

I wonder how that would look pulling the ROCC trailer.
