They just went up to $42 for TFCC and $44 for GIJCC. Their reasoning was that there has not been an increase in subscription price in years, yet postage has gone up nearly every year in the meantime. That explanation actually does make sense, even if the timing for a rate increase isn't the best.

I would be perfectly happy lowering my subscription cost and simply receiving a PDF of the club magazine in my email...but I'm well aware that that is just asking too much.

Does anyone read the monthly magazine?

It does look nice, Ill get it that. But the content really does squat for me. I think I have the last 4 months sitting in my inbox, unopened.

Yep, I'd rather save money and just read it online if at all. Sometimes it's fun, but I lost most use for their printed stuff when they got rid of the newspaper and ads. It was easier to dig through the paper and find stuff I might want to look up online as odd as that may seem.

I read it. I like the expanded bios, especially for the Adventure Team characters, but in general it's largely just filler material. The AT comic isn't too bad either, though I really wish they could find a better inker for Rod Whigam's pencils. Overall though, the TF magazine is much more informative and useful.

I will say that the article on the Estrela 12" enemy figure Torak gave me inspiration to repurpose my RoC Cobra Commander as Torak. :)

Don't go promising cookies to a fat kid unless you actually plan on delivering. The disappointment is too much for us to bear. :-D

I understand what you're saying, but I do want a physical copy in my hand. Even one as "unnewsworthy" as it may be.

I do. Any yeah, it's not really informative, but I do still like it. Heck, if nothing else, it gives me something to read on the throne that day.

This whole mess should be a good time to rethink the whole Club thing.
They should have a sit down with Hasbro to redefine it. Maybe try to get a few more perks for their members.

Besides a few figures a year, what are the perks of being a member?
Access to the prehistoric forum? The chance getting your credit card info stolen?
The chance to buy an eventual David Lane figure?

It's the official GI Joe collector's club, subscribers should get exclusive information.
By that I don't mean exclusive interviews or in house Club info.
If there's anything new or important happening with the brand, subscribers should hear about it first.
It's a collector's club, information should be a basic and obvious perk.
Instead Hasbro prefers to leak any news to the general public right away.
Kinda shows that they don't really care about the Club from the start.

There is no such thing as exclusive information in this day and age

Found this on my online account today:

Pre auth GOOGLE * LOC: CC@GOOGLE.COMCA

It's for $1.00 I assume this means that my card has also been compromised as I've not bought anything through Google. Oh joy.

Yep, exactly what I got. 2 of them actually. The next step once the charges cleared would be throwing some huge charges on. I got that closed out before it happened luckily and the charges disputed.

This kind of information should have been shared with the Club as soon as it became aware. Posting it here is great, but it should be headline somewhere of what to look out for.
