The first I did when I heard about these was check to see if HAsbro or BBTS had a them up on their sites. I'm all over these.

Really liking the looks of these.

I guess this also explains why there was only one Wolverine shown for the 3 3/4" Marvel Universe series, and in such an obscure costume.

I see this as being a good thing. we know plastic/oil costs are going up and I don't personally like paying $10 or more for action figures unless I really want to(I bought NCA's Castlevania series). It will also add more haracters that are compatible with the current G.I. Joe line, and give customizers a slew of new pieces to work with.

I hate to break it to you, but the oil barrel has gone down. Lowest its been in a LONG time. I would not be surprised to see a slight dip in plastic prices soon. Not that it will help with the cost of toys....

Agreed. I think companies can use the excuse of rising oil prices to justify price increases. Jusrt because the price of oil comes down, doesn't mean the price of manufactured goods will see an equivalent reduction. If Gi Joe sold well enough at $8 per figure when oil was high, why should Hasbro lower the price now? If the public is willing to pay a higher retail price for something, the company has no incentive to lower the price down the road.

What sucks about this is my grandsons and other children. I like to take them to the store and get them something when they are with me... it keeps them from taking my figures from displays and going to the pool or playground with them....

But this last trip, I had to find fodder figures for them, just because it was so expensive.

It hurts the kid part of the hobby, because of cost. Action figures will soon only be an adult habbit, and that will kill future toylines and collectors. I would love to see them drop back to about $5 per figure and $9 or $10 for 2. I understand that the companies will 'try to recoup the expenses during the heighten cost of raw materials' but they hiked prices the second petrol jumped and they had plastic on site already. Now the prices drop but they stand firm on cost....

Greed pure and simple. But they have me with this and the other lines of decent to spectacular figures coming out.

These look great. I'll be picking up Brown Wolvy, Deadpool and Gambit for sure.

Politics are not to be discussed on this board, as stated in the board rules when signing up. If you make further references like this for apparently no reason other than to bring up politics, you will receive an official warning.

I know I am.

I'm saving my excitement for when Fury Files announces an Iceman figure so I can finally re-enact the locker room scene from Top Gun.
