Six? Man that stinks. Well I guess it'll depend on the wave two stuff and if you have to get them all. The mail-away storm shadow was less points I think, and I got a couple of those.

I see the stormys as arashikage ninjas, the dukes as greenshirts, and have some other ideas for the Snake Eyes.

What! It's six, not five?! Well, that settles it. I guess I'm stealing the stickers out of the comic packs.

Good luck all!

requiring six individual proofs-of-purchase is downright stupid. that would mean that everyone who wants doc has to buy two of each known comic pack. i can't believe hasbro would be that dumb/greedy. possibly or probably, each figure in the comic pack counts as 'one', which would mean that an individual only has to buy one of each comic pack, which makes much more sense, to get six 'purchases.'

otherwise, "LASER BLAST" 'em, i'll buy a doc off ebay...

i'm not dropping $60 for one figure...

that's just crazy brianstoys talk.

I easily believe it will be 6 comic packs. The last two years the Star Wars promotion req'd six Vintage purchases, at $10 each. So I have no problem believing 6 purchases of $10 comic packs. Of course, the Star Wars mail-in actually HAD six different items, one of which was an army-builder.

Ya I bet we will see a lot of that going on then. They did it with the 1st Star Wars vintage mail-in the Lucas Stormtrooper. I doubt anyone actually stole them for the second mail-in which was a collector coin. I don't think any returns department is equipped to handle or cares if those POPs are missing either.
Luckily it didn't happen in my area. Not so sure if it will this time since 25th Anniv. seems very popular.

Last time (this year) the promotion was for 6 Proofs Of Purchase of ANY figures, it did not distinguish the stickers as from where they came from. I think it was asked by the fans in their frequent QnAs. I would expect the Doc offering to be for 6 stickers/Proofs Of Purchase/aFlag Points of ANY Comic Pack. I would expect them to just read "Proof Of Purchase", without saying from which Comic Pack. Right now, we know of 3 Comic Packs, that will come out in January, but rest assured, by the time the promotion expires, the second Wave will be out offering 3 more Comic Packs. So, if someone does not want to buy duplicates of the same Comic Pack, one can still get enough points by getting all of the Comic Packs available (by then). That's unless they pull a Hasbro, that is...

Anyway, 6 points are a lot. Especially for some collectors who have enough flag points from previous incarnations of the line to cover their walls with...

The Doc figure looks great, but darn 5 or 6 of the stickers if there is only one sticker per comic book pack seems a bit on the stiff side. If you want Doc early that means buying two each of the wave one packs or if you can wait that's buying both waves one and two.

Might be different if wave one was actually offering us something really cool that we couldn't find on the single cards anywhere but it's mostly just the same old figures in very bad comic book colors that will not look very good next to the other figures. Maybe this is Hasbro's way of finding out how many bad figures we'd buy just to get one good figure.

With the Star Wars promo for the George Lucas figure, at first it was proof of purchase from all the different figures. One figure had the order form and the others had a different sticker to attach to the order form. With the Biker Scout being the short packaged figure, that's when Hasbro went back and said any 6 stickers would do. Back when Episode I was about to be released and they had the Mace Windu mail away, not only did you need proof of purchase from the package, but you needed a reciept as well.

I think the official Hasbro QandA should be used as a way of delivering a prodding question like:

"It seems the new mail in doc will only be available to those who use the new PoP coupons rather then old flag and newer battle points. Many fans feel this is downright insulting considering that there are fans who in an effort to support the line bought many repeats of old VaV packs ( i know i have) and have the infinite amounts of points to prove it. Will Hasbro attempt and show their appreciation for this by modifying the mail in offer so as to allow the older points to be used for redemption by fans who have already put in boatloads of money?

Something like that.

I think they should use a system whereby 20 old flag/battle points will get you 1 or 2 of the new purchase stickers.
That way they can do away with people have stacked hundreds of them and move on.

damn it, I knew I was gonna get suckered into getting the Duke/CC set, like it or not.

as much as the SE/SS sets sucks ass due to its containing the 2 most done-to-death characters in military toy history, the blue SE at least will make good fodder.

blahhh... alright, fine. Hasbro wants to play dirty... well I'll just have to stoop to their level and capitulate.

:shifty:

D'OH!!
