I'm getting pissed. Twice now I've had enough flag points to get a gold recruit. Both times I've been stuck with that "LASER BLAST" ass worthless "LASER BLAST" 2 star Zarana. BOTH TIMES.

And she only had 1 out of 2 stars!

That's just it...I really haven't. Just checking in every 45 minutes to burn through automatically generated reloads.

Tonight I broke into my reserve stash and spent it down from 107 clips to 94. Ended up jumping from 1101 in the rankings to 650.

I think the mistake I made on a lot of these events previously was to try and take out higher level bosses alone. But spending three clips on three different rampaging Baronesses will net you about 21000 points (minimum). You can't get that by blowing all three clips on a level 80 Destro, and good luck trying to find any Destro's at less than that level three days in.

Volume is apparently the key.

That's how I finally got to the 3 star roadblock level. I think that getting a foot into a rampage boss is thebest way to rack up points after the level 30 or so guys.

Cashed in 100 elite tokens, got 3 rares. Weak.

I've got 2 *** orange Roadblocks almost completely leveled now. I've been playing every day, and I'm higher ranked than I've ever been, in the low 1***'s, with my highest on Sunday being 900 something. Problem is, when you get that high, you're playing against the suckers who pay for the game and are buying reloads all day long. You just can't keep up with that if you play for free.

And I'm still pissed about those worthless Zaranas.

At what level do you get the second 3* Roadblock? I am trying to figure if it's worth making the effort to grab him. I've burnt a lot of reloads trying to figure out how to most efficiently pull my score up, so I'm going to have to work up another stash to get to the next event.

You know what's worse than being a free player? Being a free player that can only play 3 or 4 times a day...

Well, I got my Destro. I'm hanging at about 850 right now, which is a lot better than I usually do (though that will probably drop). I still refuse to pay anything.

I disagree about not being able to compete without spending cash.

Using just the automatic time-based reloads and picking bosses that I knew I could come out ahead on in terms of winning ammo clips had me at a low 400 ranking for most of Tuesday. I used a couple of reload crates I'd picked up just leveling cards during the last 3x event on Wednesday afternoon and moved up to a low 300 ranking. Then on Wednesday night I started burning through the stockpile of ammo I'd been sitting on since the event started. Got into the low 200s before I went to bed.

Today I didn't get to play much and missed at least two rampages, but I'm still ranked in the high 200s and have about 30 earned clips left.

If I get down to the wire and am in danger of getting nudged out of the top 300 before the event wraps tomorrow, I might spend a few bucks on ammo crates. But I think you can be pretty competitive without spending cash.

I think It's really more just how much you're able to play. I usually just check in once in the morning and once in the evening, but Tuesday and Wednesday this week I was super sick and spent a lot more time playing (didn't have energy for much else). I got higher in the ranks than ever before, but lost all that progress when I went back to work today and resumed the morning/evening schedule.

I just don't have enough time to devote to watching pictures bump into each other.

I got two of those two-star Zaranas when I cashed in about 100 tokens yesterday.

I think once they introduce a better version of a character, they should take the old card out of rotation. Or at least out of the gold pool.

Did decently enough in the event overall, though. Ranked in the mid 200s and ended up with 6 Destro cards.

I got four, on top of the one I had already earned during the event.

I have my Roadblock at 4 stars with a good evolution, so I am satisfied. What gets me is how well the destro's are trading. You can get fully leveled spirits and 4 star good zaranas for them. I traded for some of them early (1 star slice for destro - ok!) And picked up some good trades for them. I now have 2 4 star spirits and 2 4 star Zaranas, with a 2/4 star zarana waiting...

I am holding back my last destro to trade for a red star, but alas I don't think that that is going to happen. The trades for a red star are insane.

And I won't have access to an idevice for the week, so I don't get to play in whatever the next things is. (so I'm sure it'll be the one where you win a Legendary Raptor...)

I finally feel that I have a good cobra and joe line for whatever event comes up. I can't play in the legendary leagues, but I am quite satisfied with how my trading and team building have played out.
