I'm collecting them, but not for a warehouse dio. I'm using them more as a backdrop for my collection when it's shelved. I've also got rocks randomly placed about the shelves just to add a little touch.

I like the crates and might do a small dio, but you'd need about 1000 to make a good looking one.

I bought the cargo truck. It comes with a really crappy crate that you tape together. Very disappointed in that, considering the quality of the boxes that come with the figures.

The truck is nice, though.

I haven't opened my truck yet, but look forward to it. I don't suppose the included crappy box is Ark-sized, is it?

I've got my boxes sitting around, just a few so far, enough for Indy to hide behind while he searches for the Ark. Or the mutilated remains!

Although it would mess up the uniform look, I thought about pulling out boxes from Corps, Chap Mei, Power Team and Joe to mix in for some type of dio. DH's estimates probably aren't too far off, tho, so i'm thinking of maybe trying to do one "hall" of the warehouse.

Don't own the ark, so I couldn't say. It really isn't made for something to go in it, imo.

The box is not the right shape for the ark. I checked, it doesn't fit.

I wouldn't necessarily be interested in actually fitting the ark inside a cardboard box. Their use as accessories is pretty limited. Once i tape those things back up i figure they are sealed for good. I was hoping for something more representational. The truck box does appear substantially larger than the ones included with the figures and might work for me, at least. :-) Thanx for the pic!

The Ark won't fit the box, but there is a cool printout on cooltoyreview that someone made that fits it. Here's the link to the thread:

A couple a questions for those customizing as well as collecting.

One, is there a figure planned for the man who inspired Indiana Jones? Remember, who he patterned himself after? I never got the guys name, but he gets the cross of Coronado from Indy and gives him that little respect at the incident.

If not, anyone here thinking of it? Anyone have a good image of the guy?

The reason I ask is that as infamous as Indiana Jones becomes, in the storyline, I can't help but wonder what adventures this guy may have experienced. It's the writer in me, and I can envision all manner of quests and errands this guy gets sent on, both on his own, and of course, via paid work(as seen at that scene).

Cap there is a placeholder name for "Fedora" in one of the upcoming assortments (late this year or early next) that some have speculated is the guy you are talking about. I'm not sure about it I just stumbled accross it one day.

I had an image the guy was similar to Indy but didn't have the luxury of the formal education Indy had. As such he had to take these "paid" missions to not only find artifacts but also pay the bills. He is really never named or mentioned again to my knowledge. Still I found him interesting enough for me to think that much of him.

Interesting little tidbit I came across a few weeks ago... In the first draft of the Last Crusade script, that dude had a name - Abner Ravenwood. Obviously they decided not to make that connection, but it was sort of cool I thought.

You know, that would have sooo worked for me. Would make sense why Indy ended up as a young associate to Abner Ravenwood, why he and the even younger Marion mashed uglies, and even more sense the estrangement from his single visioned father, Henry Sr.

I think in the credits he was called Fedora, I'll have to double check.
