I guess I can see that, but it does nothing for me in that state. Though the original figure was never appealing to me anyway, so it may not have made a difference if they detailed it.

I really hope the next few reveals make me want this set.. Because so far I am yawning.

I can make that sb commander from a dg trooper and spare parts in about 5 minutes. C'mon, impress me like last years night force set already!

I was pretty excited, but this one is kind of a record scratch... never liked these colors nearly as much as the standard SB.

I thought this was a Zombie/Eco Warriors set. Why do we need a badly coloured SB almost anyone of us could easily make? While I like Lab Rat, I hope they're starting at the bottom of the barrel and working their way up with these reveals.

I like the figure...if it was retail. I think for the price, is should really be something special, like everyone has said. If it was ten bucks, I'd definitely pick it up, though. I like the gold helmet.

No... Really. I hate that more than I've hated anything in a long time. Mostly because if I get this set I will be stuck with this primary color monstrosity. It will sit in a bag on top of my trade or sell pile, always reminding me how much I paid for it just to sit there and suck.

It's not a set piece.

It's a figure based on a mail away promotion.

I'd rather get this in a TRU 3 pack or multi pack.

SB doesn't look great, but this version has heavy nostalgia value for me. Not a good thing when I'm trying not to buy this set. What's going to be bad for me is if they crank out a decent Toxo-Viper for this. I'm excited and worried at the same time.

I rather like it. I was wondering how they were going to do the Steel Brigade Commander, and I think they found a good way to do it, basing it on the later color scheme of the original mail-order figure. Yes, it's a little more intense than some of the color schemes we've seen in the modern line, but consider the fact that there's going to be three Eco-Warriors in this set. Think we've seen the last of bright colors?

All the good things I had to say about the Lab Rat figure will not be found in this post. I never liked that color scheme as a kid (not that I had one, but still...), and I don't like it now. For me, it's a boring update of a boring figure of a concept (the Steel Brigade) that I didn't have much interest in to begin with. But I'll still get the set, immediately disassemble this fool for parts, and find a good use for the body down the road at some point.
