Looks like they'll be announcing the theme for Series 4 today:

This probably deserves it's own thread, but in other big news today, General Hawk has created VitruvianFACTS, a HACKS figure and accessory wiki : http://www.vitruvianfacts.com

Mermaids!!!! And new pirates and other sea creatures. So, for me Series 1 = total grandslam. Series 2 = at least a triple if not in park homer. Series 3= not so sure of. I'm on the fence for the idea. Series 4= anothet homerun if done as well as what we've seen thus far.

Ok, I am not a smart guy regarding Kickstarter (and according to my wife other items....).

Will ther be a KS for each series? Each wave in the series?

I would say not. This question has been asked at other places. From what I understand they want to keep away from future KS because of the percentage taken. It does limit their process also. I'd back the Fantasy and Pirate Linea if they ended up doing KS for them.

Nah, it's pretty much a certainty there won't be any more KS campaigns specifically from BossFight. They just don't need the money all at once that a KS would give them, really. The Zombie Lab campaign doesn't count as they're just using the HACKS engineering due to the guy behind it apparently being a close contractor for them and them hooking him (and us) up.

"Eternal Snuggle", oh man I can't stop laughing.

The shot with the Spawn Ogre is brutally awe inspired.

Great thread going here. I love seeing all this stuff (and getting ideas for my own customs!!).
Our plan is to not run any more figure Kickstarters. But that may change depending on finances of course. I doubt we'll sell single parts ala carte since it's a difficult and time consuming business model to manage. We're trying to grow the company and that business model becomes more complex the larger you get. We may have grab bags (like our capsule machine at the cons) soon but they'll be random and limited.

No more Kicktstarters, yay!
Sorry, really not a fan of the platform following some very bad experiences.

Looking forward to where HACKS is going because it really started with a terrific bang!

Pirates vs Atlantians/Merpeople looks like it could be fun.

Those capsule machines were brilliant. Can you imagine finding ones filled with that much fun, as a kid?

Also, agree with you 100% on not going a la carte. To be honest, and we've said this to you before, but I can't imagine a more customer friendly package of goodness could be had compared to the prices of the blanks, and the bang for the buck those give us. It's also why I think you are bootleg proof.

I have questions I didn't think to ask for the podcast (or possibly asked and forgot - I blame the Podgaritas...and joemichaels70) - are the blanks something that you expect will continue to be replenished in your store, even as you move forward with new series? How about the specific Series 1 characters available in the store? Is there a point where this series specifically closes?

And last - as someone who keeps buying and buying blanks, if they will be perpetual in some form, is there a chance that the heads included with them will start to have new/diverse options, perhaps as you continue to get new tooling for future series?

All I got on the Kickstarter was a Medusa fig. The others I've received (around 40 at last count) were all ordered off the BFS pre-order page:

Get em while you can...

The Blanks, which including the Skeletons are intended to be in 'eternal' production; although colors will be rotated. Popular colors will obviously be kept in better stock than less-popular colors, to the extent that certain colors may never come back.

I think Penthesilea and the Styx Guardian show that they're at least open to the idea of rotating Blank heads into Named characters use; and I'd assume that as a head they have in the library doesn't fit a particular Series Theme that it'll get used for Blanks. And they'll surely be creating new heads for new Series to increase the library of heads to pick from, as we see all-new faces in the Fantasy control art.

At least, that's my 2¢ understanding of things.
