Does GI Joe need to star in a successful video game to become a successful toy once again? Maybe one of those Amiibo/Skylander/Dimensions collectible games where the toys become part of the video game, but with movable figures.
Does he need to be the leader of a band of survivors in a zombie infested world or is that fad already out?
Does he need to train small colorful animals and make them fight?

I wish they'd bring back the Adventure Team. It would open all kinds of fun possibilities like searching for lost treasures and fight mythical creatures or travel in space, in time or simply in a jeep.

I always thought A Kreo cartoon would be a good start. Get the characters in the kids heads early, but I think they missed that opportunity. Unless they want to relaunch the entire kreo line.

The entire Kreo line was a mis-step because it was Hasbro imitating and not innovating like they used to. It never had a hope in hell of surviving beyond its first few years and survived solely on adult nostalgia for the properties used. The writing was on the wall for Hasbro bricks when they were stupid enough to not simply buy MegaBloks.

Joe definitely needs to become Adventure Team.

These days the idea of having a toy that's a "war hero" is about as unpopular of an idea as you're going to find.

An adventurer / explorer, with scientists, Zoologists, and archaeologists. Much more PC but also fun actiony type stuff in the vein of Tomb Raider and Uncharted.
Ideas that can still capture kids' imaginations.

Especially good timing coming up, with Disney making the announcement about Indiana Jones 5 being made. But I'm sure that just means that instead of Hasbro 'trying', they'll just put out a bunch of odd scaled, low POA, badly sculpted toys with the Indiana Jones name slapped on it.
