The last few issues have been fairly entertaining . I'm really impressed with how well Cobra Commander is conveyed as a serious no nonsense murderer / leader with only a few panels dedicated to him.

I've been buying but haven't been reading. I will get to it at some point!

I've been enjoying it. I think it's much better than v.3 of the main title, which has been awful, IMO.

I picked up the first couple of issues it's okay but my financial situation I had to choose and I love the Hama-verse better. I really can't get into this new universe too much.

It seems to compliment the Hama verse title fairly well. It has that "feel" to it. I was surprised some what. My favorite title is the "Cobra Files" .

It's on my pull list at the comic book store.

Of the 3 new IDW continuity comics I rank Special Missions 2nd after Cobra Files and ahead of the main title. Special Mission hits it just about right with the way I like to see G.I. Joe. Undercover missions that the public doesn't know about, fighting Cobra and using characters beyond the big names. Who would have ever imagined Mainframe being a lead in a book next to Scarlett? Never mind the romance (which to me feels a bit forced) but just having what some might consider a C-list character as one of the main characters shows some depth in storytelling. I enjoy this book and like that it continues what they were doing in the main Joe book before the renumbering and the shift that has occurred in the main title.

We have near identical perspectives regarding the IDW titles so i'm curious as to whether or not you've read the US Army comic America's Army?
