Unless I'm mistaken, the latest Toyfare magazine shows the first pics of movie Deep Six (25th Torpedo with the movie greyscale camo) as well as close-ups of several of the movie toys.

Movie Deep Six?! Aw hell, now they gone and dun it. I haven't been too keen on the movie figures but if they're bringing out my faves in this style then I'll have to get 'em. Dammit.

I'm curious, how do you guys treat something like this in your collections?

It's quite obvious that this is a Torpedo repaint I know (nice repaint at that, looks like modern wetsuits), but it's not the deep six sculpted head from the SHARC pack, it's Torpedo's head.

If this figure makes it into your collection, are you going to call it Movie Deep Six or just ignore the "official title" and refer to him as a repainted Torpedo?

I know some folks stick to canon like it's the law, if Hasbro calls it Deep Six then it's Deep Six.

If I get this guy, he's Torpedo. If I get Ripcord, he's Cool Breeze.

I was actually planning on finding a new head for him and making him Depth Charge.

...If I can get a bunch of them, they're gonna be Joe Greenshirt divers.

I'll probably use him as Deep Six in a normal wetsuite instead of the big diving suite, like in the new IDW comic. I mean he doesn't really need that big clunky dive suite all the time, some missions judt wouldn't call for it. And if you leave the mask on this figure it's no big deal.

They also used the Torpedo head on the SRO wave 2 Deep Six too, so that's not a huge stretch I supose.

Just don't buy him cause he is a cheap repaint not an actual new figure and save some money

It's one of the repaints that I really like so I plan on getting the figure.

Just not sure on how I'm going to use him. I've got Torpedo already so I don't think I'll use him as Torpedo. There are some Joe divers who haven't had the 25th treatment yet so it's down to either one of those or I'm liking the idea of a team of Green Shirt divers as well.

Which ever way I go it still feels like a win either way.

Agreed there. He's not different enough in my eyes to warrant a purchase. I'll get him if there is a good sale (BOGO or something like that), or he hangs around til clearance time.

It'd depend. If I have 1 of these new guys and two original torpedos, the originals get "greenshirted" and the new one will become torpedo leading the others.
