Went to K-mart today and they had the Terminator Salvation figs out. Grabed the two endoskeletons (T-RIP and T-700, which by the way was black oddly enough). Saw the others too, T-600 is HUGE, thought he was part of the larger scale at first but then realized he is just ment to be big. They also had a John Conner that I hadn't seen before (sunglasses and mask, no idea if they are removable) but I passed on everything but the endos. Resonably priced too (even for K-mart) at 6.99. Not too impressed with anything beyond the T-600 and the endos, but the endos are cool as hell. On articulation (Since this was a big deal when the pics hit) They have a Pivot hindge for the shoulders and elbows (that looks very natureal on the robotic parts and alows for a wide range of movement), No neck articulation (odd, wasn't expected) The hip and knees are standard hindged joints (much less range on the lower extremities). and no mid section/waist articulation at all. Plan to have a full reveiw of these before the weekend is out, but thought I would give everyone the heads up. |

Yeah I saw the Terminator and Star Trek Figures at my TRU. I only picked up the T700 and man, these are terrible in person. I understand why the head is so small since flesh would cover it but damn it looks teenie. The articulation sucks too. I doubt i'll buy anymore of them if they are like this. |

Plan on a couple of 600s for the 134s and ammo cans. They all have the light piping in the eyes, right? That explains the lack of head/neck movement. |

I snagged the T-700, T.R.I.P, the 6" scale T-1 (actually scaled for the 3 3/4" line but too big for the packaging) and the sweet Hunter Killer w/T-700. I am not really impressed with the figures themselves as they are a bit on the small side but the sculpting is decent enough and the Hunter Killer is super awsome! |

So, can you fit a figure into the HK? And, how much was it? |

Hey Zed, any idea if the figures would make decent civilians? |

Marcus was the closest non combatant, the undamaged version is wearing biker leathers. I like the T 700, and I'm amazed that it's articulated at all, sucks about the head being fixed. |

Undamaged marcus is a good one as well. The other (can't remember his name) might pass, hard to say, but I think with some painting he could look civy enough. Not puerfect but passible. I picked up some of these today too, and yeah that John Connor isn't on the cardbacks. These are $6.99 at Toys R' Us too, and the hunter killer is 22.99. Oh, and there's the slightly larger $9.99 scale. But those look even more cartoony & childish than the $6.99 scale ones. Haven't opened them up yet, but picked up two silver endo's and one of the black ones, that smaller Connor (also a larger one at $9.99 that doesn't show his face sculpt either (which to me means they could have been done before they had images of Bale)), and the Barnes figure. In person he just looks good for a postapocalyptic survivor. The t-600 figure I wanted to pick up for the gatling gun, but couldn't justify it for the price. Also was let down that of the star trek figures put out, none of them were the bad guy in the film. It sucks that Playmate got this line b/c even though these look ok, they look too childish for the movie series. Maybe not mcfarlane realism, but at least better sculptors working on the figures. |

The John Connors are all masked because Playmates couldn't get likeness approval. |

You don't have an actual figure of the lead and hero of the movie for the kids or us older 'kids' to have. I'm curious though the Bale likeness for the 3.75 Dark Knight figure was pretty horrible but that passed? |

I doubt the lack of a Bale likeness had anything to do with quality. I don't think that his likeness was included in the license. Or, he has a separate license for his likeness above and beyond the Terminator license. The first McFarlane T-800 had to have a battle damaged face, because while they had the rights to make Terminator figures, they couldn't legally use Arnold's face. My guess is that this is something similar, and that with Batman, either they bundled the likeness rights in with the film rights, or Mattel went the extra bit and paid to use Bale's face. I don't know of any other actors off-hand that have separate likeness rights, but I'm sure they're out there. |

I found them at my TRU, i got the 2 Terminators and the Battle Damaged Marcus figure, the other Terminator is to big for 3.75 inch scale, it's more like the old Star Trek figs 4 inch, they was all out of the 6 inch drones, which i wanted, but over all not that bad, i will get some more. I'd take pics, but i am at my GF's house and no camera or Joes to take pics with. |
