Is there any news when Resolute will be released on DVD ? For me this was the GI Joe movie I have been waiting for and the live action version will probably be a pass. This is what Stephen Summers should have made instead of what I fear awaits. I figure whenever the movie is released is when we will see this pop up at Walmart. Or is that Mallspot.

I'm the sound re-recording mixer for the Resolute series and I'm so glad to hear all the things you like about this awesome new series. We worked really hard to bring this show to life and make it as viseral and sonically potent as possible. So, about the blood in the Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow fight. If you saw the original animation you would have NO complaints!! When Storm Shadows arms are sliced, blood splatters everywhere and is dripping heavily from his arms. And when Snake Eyes gets stabbed through the hand, blood gushes from his hand and splatters on the ground. Unfortunately, Hasbro asked for this to be removed in order to be able to air it on television. We had added big blood splashes and dripping but ended up having to take it all out for network TV. Oh, also when Snake Eyes delivers the final "seventh" blow, blood oozes out of Storm Shadows eyes, nose and mouth (from under his mask). It was awesome! Hopefully when the DVD is released these will be added back in and you'll have your bloody ninja fight.

I hope you enjoy the finale tomorrow night. The show was moved to 9pm instead of midnight so get ready! And I hope you enjoy what the show sounds like. I did mix it in 5.1 surround sound and it sounds as good as any theatrical release out there. Again, unfortunately, you won't hear it in surround until the DVD is released, you'll hear the stereo mixdown on the TV broadcast.
