So today I was going through my o-ring Corps! collection, and to my horror, half of them have already started to change colors! None of my corps figs are any older that 7 years old. The worst hit seem to be my prized Corps! construction guys. For example, the guy with the white t-shirt and blue shorts now has a yellow t-shirt! My Bengali fig now has yellow inner thighs, and white outer thighs. Obviously, plastic changes colors over time, but I keep my Corps! guys in a dark closet with my joes. As stated, none are even that old. Has anyone here had the same problem, or does my house have some strange force that ages action figures. Also, I don't smoke, so that can't be an issue.
It's funny, before I got back into collecting GI Joe, I had all of my joes pilled into a rubbermaid tub in my parents garage for over ten years. Temps in that garage get to 90+ degrees in the summer, and well below freezing in the winter, yet when I "saved" them from the garage in '01 or '02, the only discolored guy was Snowjob. Now that I try to keep them properly, I've had a number of figs turn yellow or green. Guess it's just age, but I just don't expect fairly new Corps! figures to change colors.
