Today, I was trying to convince my buddy that we need to work together to build a pair of Jawa Sandcrawlers, with the logic being doing a group project might convince me to actually get started on it (good ol' peer pressure). This got me thinking about what ridiculously large projects I would like to tackle, and wondering what crazy ideas some others had out there. Now, this would be large, but realistic, projects you have in mind. Not like building a full Joe-size Flagg. My ideas: A scale Joe ship - I've wanted to do something similar to the Steve Irwin from Whale Wars. A actual ship that is about 10' long and about 2' wide, with a landing pad for small helo. But, I'd want to make it able to float, and there's not alot of places around here to use it, so that's kept this one on the back burner. Sandcrawler - My buddy brought up my biggest excuse for not having done this yet - its been done several times before. Still, it might be cool to do some of the other styles of Sandcrawlers from McQuarrie's art. Armored Train - only problem is there are not many narrow-gage armored trains, so I'd have to lay a different width of track in my garden. And I already have a hard enough time taking care of what I have. But, I have a Panzer turret already on my workbench that constantly reminds me I "need" one of these. Nuke missile railcar - see above. Still, this would be awesome, especially with an actual launching rocket. Mos Eisley - It would allow me to leave a good portion of my backyard in its native state. But, with two small kids and three dogs, I question whether or not it would even survive. I am working on a small, portable display that might convince me to tackle this, and just build it sturdy enough to survive the abuse it will take. |

#1) A huge list of Cobra Bases (hehe). #2) My full room display complete with environment settings. #3) planes and lots of them. I have several planes I want to make and have the full layout in my head. I know they could be built but I have no time for it. #4) Yep, a train as well. I would like to have a train that would tie into my full room display. #5) Space Hanger for putting my Tie Fighters and such in. #6) Finish a Space Station I started. #7) Too many to list but easier to just say several smaller vehicles that I've had in mind for years. |

I once made a PIT out of three 5-shelf bookcases stacked back to back to back. (at the time $19.99 at WalMart) I never finished it and it fell apart when I moved. I've saved the key pieces for a future rebuild. I also intend to make a Cobra Island, one based more on the 1985 opening sequence to the cartoon than the one in the comic, but a little of both, using a paddle ball table. My mother bought a house where the previous owner turned the whole backyard into a big garage/workshop - and she can't do anything with that space so I told her I will make it my cobra island one day. She says if that means she gets to see her grandson more its cool with her. Lastly, I came up with an idea for a battle scene at an Eastern Asian landmark - but that one is so large and so complex an idea that I'll probably never do it, but just in case I can, I want to keep it to myself for now. It'd be a great submission to a convention contest. |

I'm still in the process of construction the U.S.S. Flagg, a G.I.joe Federation vessel out of styrofoam. I have the pieces for the Bridge, engine room, and docking bay. But still need a piece for crew rooms. and the pieces need to be small enough to be modular. Im also torn between downloading images for computer panels, or drawing them myself. Im also thinking of converting a Chap mei chinook into a C-10 transport. |

I've thought a scale GI Jane freighter would be cool, but I've actually been looking at materials and designing a scale mini sub (based on Japanese midget subs from WWII). |

Since I'm a crappy customizer with limited ressources, I have a lot of unfinished vehicle customs... Modernized Shadowtraks (can't even find a decent base), a Cobra fortress (made out of the Shadowloo HQ, having problems finding the missing parts), a Panther jeep for Stalker that isn't just a repainted VAMP (having problems finding a suitable base), turning a Chap Mei cop car into something more fitting for GIJoe... Also hoping to get the Star Wars Episode 1 playsets and convert them into ROC Cobra/MARS bases. |

I have been acquiring bits an pieces of junk - er... tech detail for a massive Cobra lab for a while now. trouble is where to keep such a thing once completed. I'd also like to make some interior playsets, like the interior of a Cobra submarine and the interior of one of those big ass Hercules planes with the ramp. Such things woul have a multitude of uses. I've also always thought of the Terror Drome as the tip of the iceberg, so to speak, with a massive unerground bunker layed out below ground, which I've always wanted to try an lay out. Of course, I actually have very little available space for such things, andd even less time for such ambitious projects. |

http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/Aegis-class_cruiser Been considering this one for a while. Scaled properly, it would still be about 4 feet long. |
