The first four issues, "The Mission That Never Wars", sort of "bridged the gap" between Marvel and Devil's Due. It was okay, but felt very forced.

I think the next storyline coupled a Devil's Due period tale with post-95 flashbacks... after that everything done in Frontline happened in tandem with Devil's Due's regular series.

I've read History Repeating (issues 11 to 14) and the Beachhead issue (17), all pretty good reads.

Speaking of continuity in comics and where they fit in...

I just got the Firefly/Storm Shadow comic pack. Do the comics from these sets fit anywhere in particular or are they just a little something added to the mythos as a sort of side story just to feature the two figures. The story focused only on Firefly and SS, with a little bit involving Slash and Slice and didn't seem to be the length of a regular comic book.

Some of the comic pack comics take place in between issues of the Marvel run, but a lot of them are just one off stories that don't have an official place in continuity.

There are a few fans who try to fit them in. Some, like the Destro/IG are written to fit directly into Marvel continuity (right before #87 for this issue). Others do not fit at all (the Cobra Commander/Tripwire book, for example).

This book, however, is up for debate. It can easily be placed after America's Elite, as it would tie up the Storm Shadow Firefly story arc quite nicely. It can also be placed after Master and Apprentice 2, as a prelude to Storm Shadow's solo series or in between Marvel and DDP, but for any of those, you'd have to accept that Firefly doesn't turn over a new leaf. That's probably more realistic than the idea that in the end Tommy is able to give his mortal enemy peace, but since there's no absolute, you can choose which one you like!
