I apologize if this has been brought up before . . .

We finally got some new MU figures at work . . . the Archangel, Shadowcat, Havok, etc series.

Anywho, in the package,I don't see any wings with Archangel, plus he has his "Death's Head" head. I could deal with his Death mask head, but no wings?!? WTF? Is this the way they are being produced en masse? Has anyone seen wings? Did we just get a bad batch?

And is Havok supposed to be in his old mask?

Just curious . . . thanks.

Those 2 figs are variants, the Death Archangel has no wings and Havoc is supposed to have his mask/helm for the variant.

Death's head was supposed to be the variant but at the target I went to that was the only version on the pegs out of three. He has wings but they are tiny like maybe an inch and a half and not attached in the packaging.

They are variants? Shouldn't they be rare then. LOL They are all we have. :-( I don't want a flyer with no wings . . . I can't call his folded wing "backpack" even close to wings.

Given my store we'll never get the regular version in. I'll probably grab "retro" Havok for my son. He liked Juggernaut and Colossus.

Well, he did have me paint Colossus silver for him. LOL

Thanks for the info. Guess I'll keep looking for a winged version.

Are they varients, or running changes? I need those 2 as well, my Targets have gotten the waves but those figures were no where to see found.

I think that both versions are being equally produced. there have been a bunch of people finding the short haired Winter Soldier recently, and I know that everyone that ordered him online got the long haird variant. now if we could just get the Warpath in his X-men costume variant to show up in stores...

THis is the version of Archangel when he was Apocaylpe's horseman, Death, THe wings are the way his metal wings are when folded (not flying). they wrap under themselves just as many birds do.

THat version is still going high on ebay BTW.

I mentioned in another thread here that my Target did their reset. With the reset came a bunch of newer MU figures. Sadly, no Archangel, but they did have the X-Men team suit Wolverine with the new head. Tons freakin' better, and I might actually pick him up now.

I also went to Target again. This time I was able to get them to bring out Havok for me.
What are the case pack outs to these?
Apparently Colossus was not in the case which they opened in the back for me. They were reluctant to bring out the entire case. It seems they had a few cases in the back & they would only open one. That is after I hid all the IM in the IM2 section & the Spidey's in the Spidey section. :whistling:
I left another Death Archangel there. There was another Kitty too but it looks like a brown spot is on her nose from the hair paint.

Airtight, I'll see what I can do when I go to work tomorrow.

Goldbug, I'm not sure the case distribution . . . I do know the one I opened had a Colossus . . . though you are lucky they looked for you. Technically we aren't supposed to do that.

Being lucky enough to have both versions of AA it's cool to be able to swap out the wings with each other. Why they didnt include both sets of wings with both figures is beyond me. I mean the folded up set is an accessory like a large gun if you ask me.

Dang, your store put out out more variants?! That's where I got my first set from. The Target on Edgewood Rd. had only the variants too.

Why do I have this feeling that the regular Archangel is going to continue to be a [LASER BLAST] to find, and really expensive on the secondary market. :-(

Glad I didn't stop by Edgewood today then . . . But yeah, apparently all we have are the variants as well.

So far anyway . . . :-/
