G.I.JOE TRU Exclusive Quick Kick Easter Egg

When I heard that we were getting a new quick kick I was thrilled, because years ago someone asked during a q & a if the characters that were killed in the comic would we still get them, and all those years ago Hasbro said no, if they were dead in the books we wouln't get them.

Oh how times have changed, first doc, then thunder (thunderblast), now Quick Kick. And that brings me to why I started this thread, The hidden in plain view Hasbro Easter Egg on Quick kick (No..not the scars from enter the dragon that are indeed on the figure, but the symbol on his outfit.

Behold.......Kung Fu Grip!!!!!!!

Hmm, I never noticed that. That's cool. I stopped in at TRU today but still didn't see these in store. They actually restocked the movie stuff and not the new figures. Theres like 5 full pegs of ROC stuff. No Kamakura for those wondering. It looked like initial launch items this time where as they had been getting the last wave items.

Over at Target they were getting the new reset done, but they didn't have the G.I.Joe stuff on the truck. They did have the shelf tags up and said it might be coming in tomorrow.

I thought so too! I know part of the look is supposed to be based off Bruce Lee, but that's TOTALLY a Cobra Kai outfit!

(Cobra Kai needs to be worked into the Joe-verse as a early age Cobra recruitment scheme)

Yeah, a set with guys vaguely looking like Kobra Kai dojo characters...that'd be a fun one to get.
