I recently had some o-ring joes arrive (the first 0-ring joes i've had in years ) . They are all from 1997 forward i.e. using the flexible forearm plastic which i'm thrilled about. However ...i expected the upper arms to be made of the harder ABS plastic and i'm not positive that they are . Generally speaking i wouldn't care one way or another except the prospect of actually boiling /popping ARAH arms gets me excited

I know Lego uses a softer form of ABS that has a bit more "give" than the typical form. Has anyone tried boiling and popping 1997 and forward ARAH arms or will i be breaking new ground with this attempt? I'm hoping someone else has already done so.
