I know that on certain filecards / comic books it says that Scarlett attended the FBI Academy. Are there any other GI Joes that are either received FBI training or served in another Federal Law Enforcement agency?

Not federal, but Shockwave/blast is Detroit SWAT.
I don't think it says as much, but I think it can be assumed Chuckles and Mace are from the alphabet soup.

Is their training in a comic book or something? The only one I really saw from Filecards were that Bulletproof is USMS (thanks for the above guys, I totally forgot about him) and Chuckles is CID. The rest seem to be either Police training or Military Police training that isn't civilian Federal Law Enforcement.

I'm just curious, because I'm surprised at even in the D.E.F. days that they didn't have anyone besides USMS represented....maybe their quota on GI JOE was given to ninjas - 'cause who needs a Fed when you can have a ninja....:snakenana:

well wide scope, longarm, Shockwave, and Bullhorn have swat or law enforcement training. I wasnt sure about Muskrat as it is mentioned he fought poachers in the swamps. not sure if it was under an Official capacity.

Its said on his card that Bullhorn is an Negotiator and sharpshooter. the only times Ive seen this position is usually in SWAT or special division of law Enforcement. Wide Scope and Longarm are first responderd, and entry specialists, Another SWAT qualification

Right, I know there are several that have LEO training, I was seeing if there were any Federal guys I missed. I was under the impression that Bullhorn had been a Fed negotiator but I reread his card and he's listed as an E-5 and just the Negotiator/Sharpshooter specialties you described. I know in Scarlett Declassified she went to the FBI Academy and I know the other two we mentioned before are USMS and CID.

Otherwise I think all of the other LE joes are pulled from the MP and Municipal/County/State (non-Fed) police units.

Good call DarkJedi, I didn't see his second filecard - he at least taught at FBI Academy. Since I believe all of the Defensive Tactics Instructors are Special Agents, then he was probably FBI.

Thanks.

I don't think I've ever seen his second file card. I was just going with how I use him.

Well wasn't Jinx working out of the Presidio in the comics at one point as an intelligence agent?

and wouldn't Cutter get additional training as coast guard, especially since the coast guard has been absorbed into Homeland Security?

...or are you looking for SPECIFICALLY FBI training?

If you want to be thorough
http://www.yojoe.com/filecard/02/surefire2.shtml is CID ( so I guess no)
and

http://www.yojoe.com/filecard/06/checkpoint.shtml his MOS is MP (No again)
and

http://www.yojoe.com/filecard/06/rook.shtml his qualifications come out of law enforcement somewhere (He seems more likely to be FBI or CIA)
and
http://www.yojoe.com/filecard/06/redzone.shtml is FBI (Winner!)

and depending on how wide a net you'd liek to cast you have Lock Down (also Military Law enforcement)
http://www.yojoe.com/sigma6/files/lockdown.shtml
from Sig 8 which was folded into GI Joe sometime around WWIII in the comic

Good call on the Steel Brigade set MBB, I forgot about those guys. Now that you mention Red Zone, when I first read that when the set came out - I took it to mean he was too unpredictable for the FBI so he either washed out or was let go. I guess it's all how you read it.

KoP, I'm not talking about FBI specifically, but any actual Federal LEO training- for instance, though Military Police works for the Fed Govt since they are military, they are not considered Federal Law Enforcement unless working in CID, same thing with Masters At Arms vs NCIS. So Cutter wouldn't be considered Federal LE unless he was working for CGIS, even though technically it falls under Homeland Security.....but still gets DoD retirement. Wow alphabet soup there.

At any rate, I was just curious if any of the Joes were Federal Law Enforcement guys - I was reading some cards a few days ago and noticed the huge amount of MPs and random SWAT here, police there, stuff, but didn't really notice any specifically saying Federal LEO.

I really appreciate the help guys - very informative.
