Well I came home today to find a nice parcel waiting on me, and huzah! It's the latest installment of the Mortal Kombat Action Figures version of Sub Zero. On the back of the box is some concept images taken from the game, showing Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Raiden (No Johnny Cage, why did HE have to get cancelled?). But there's a nice little insert on the box detailing some of SZ's back story.

On to the figure himself. He's constructed of sturdy plastic, nice all around detail, some paint apps are wrong (his shoulder pads and the kimono underneath his outfit being black). Besides that, sweet basic figure! His accessory is his Katina he spawns via water molecules has a very sturdy base, but the blade itself is extremely flimsy.

I'll be hoping to pick up Scorpion soon!


And let's not mention the hope of picking up a couple 6 inch Street Fighter figures to have a epic battle!

I'm glad to see the words "Sturdy Plastic" here, because the last time JazWares made Mortal Kombat figures, they were flimsy garbage. I've been extremely reluctant to pick up the new ones as such.

It's good to hear that about the 6 inch line, but most of us here want the 4 inch figures, so hopefully they will mimic their bigger counterparts.
