nendoroids are a line of super deformed japanese anime figures, something i have no interest in but a few years ago i somehow stumbled upon a line of playsets that are made for displaying your nendoroids on. i looked around a bit and found out the nendoroid figures are about 4" tall so i took a chance and tracked down one of the playsets, ive had to find them all on ebay or in online stores in japan. and so far i really like the sets for displaying, i have 4 of 5 sets made so far. the sets all come in 2 parts set A and set B that can be combined into one set. heres the newest released set with a restaurant theme.

they come in pieces like this.

they clip together with these little clear tabs.

What's the price point on these?

Those are cool.

I really wish that stuff like this was readily available her in the States. These would sell like hot cakes if they were decently priced and available.

So much potential.

Yeah... That "western Living" would make for some spectacular dio set ups.

Those are really cool, but I'm guessing they weren't cheap. My guess is 15-20 per box and you need the two boxes to make the one diorama.

Every place I've ever seen them, they aren't cheap at all. Here's a listing on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Nendroid-Playset- ... im_sbs_t_1

I've never seen them lower than $30 each set, and that was more than a year ago on Ebay.

They are really cool though. It's something I wouldn't mind being able to offer one day. It would require casting, images, painting, and cutting out other parts. Something I wouldn't want to get into at the moment. I might end up buying the Japanese set one day. though

I bought the Western playsets probably about a year ago, though I've never gotten around to opening them. I bought them from abctoy4me.com, though it doesn't look like they are still offered. They do appear to currently be stocking the restaurant set.

Like many Japanese toys, the key with these is pre-ordering when available, otherwise you have to deal with lack of availability or bloody outrageous aftermarket prices like those featured in the Amazon link. I have the Japanese living room and the school room with the band instruments. Fun little dios, but not cheap. I missed out on the first classroom, and just kind of put it out of my mind when I see those sets selling for like $130 each. :-/

sorry, yeah i forgot to mention the price. as far as i can tell its one of those things where they make a batch of however many and its done. right now i think the restaurant is the only set selling new and i paid about $30ish pers section, thats about what i paid for the other sets as well after much searching. mind you the shipping for a set from japan is usually about $15 to $30ish as well. since i dont buy vehicles and there arent alot of figures im interested any lately these sort of made up for all the money i wasnt spending. the only set i dont have is the first set which is just a classroom and as said above it really sells for alot and i by far find it the least useful set.

i also forgot to mention they are made to stack on top od each other if you wanted to.

Between these sets and their Rement fare, they truly have a great sense of making great dioramas.

I keep checking and hoping for a new set. I just got a second table section of the diner to make it bigger. no someone asked me about something so I dug up this old thread to show them pics I had taken of all the sets, and after all the searching to find it I decided to pop it back up in case anyone new folks might be interested.

Those look awesome! The Japanese room looks like one of the sets from Revenge of the Ninja (a must see for the unintentional laughs it will bring).
