Matthew's post in the this thread viewtopic.php?f=10&t=34038&start=30 got me to thinking about the Adventure Team. I can see the Team being a group who locates the downed satellite, or explores the lost valley. Thinking Cobra could have a version of there own to Give the Adventure Team a rival to compete with. I can't b the only one who has ever thought something like this and perhaps we could do a project about it characters and vehicles. I would love to see what you guys think would make a good version of villain adventurers. |

The Evil Adventure Team, EAT for short, is composed of poachers, scalpers and treasure hunters. Nothing can really stop them. They'll hunt any rare or endangered animal for your next upscale dinner or reception. Your young teenage princess wants a real panda in the backyard, they're on their way. You heard of this ancient cup that might be hidden deep inside a cave and you want that ancient item on your mantle, sure, no problem, they'll get it for you, for the right price. EAT has a lot of corrupted people on the payroll. Nothing like a prepaid custom official to carry that stone tablet or cute little lemur across the border. The money they make on the black market allows them to get the latest equipment and weapons. Rumor has it that a part of the money might also fund Cobra. |

I figured they were just known as the Black Market or you couldd use the INtruder's Name as tehy fought the adventure team Dr. Venom could lead Dreadnoks Crusher and Demolisher would be a great addition as well as the Red Shadow's Nightmare and his mamba men Characters to be added would be a Grave Robber, Antiquities Dealer, a con man and a Driver They could be the one to uncover COBRA-LA |

I like this idea and may have to run with it. Already got names for two of your additions: MobileBattleBunker wrote: Characters to be added would be a Grave Robber, Antiquities Dealer, Styxx and Roadshow. |

Ya know how all those 80s cartoons had the bad guys and their henchmen? I'm getting all sorts of character ideas for this. This SHOULD become a Group Project option... Just take normal characters and twist them. An dark version of Indiana Jones or Lara Croft, etc... |

I've been working on something kind of similar to this to go with my Adventure Team customs, and although it has nothing to do with Cobra, it does include a couple of guys that were inspired by Cobra characters. Here are a couple of guys who would probably fit the theme: -Wild Weasel: the team's pilot. His filecard mentions that he was a mercenary pilot in South America and Africa, and that alone gives you plenty to work with as far as back-story. A guy who knows his way around third-world countries would be invaluable for transport in and out of the sort of places you go to find a hidden artifact. -Zartan: you could drop the more sci-fi elements (or keep 'em; there was plenty of that in the AT line, too) and use him as a master of disguise and a spy. -Zanzibar: a former river pirate would be very useful to navigate obscure waterways. -Major Bludd: possibly the team's leader; another mercenary who's probably fought in many of the places that the team would be working, and could use his knowledge and connections. -Gnawgahyde: a poacher and hunter would be of great help. Plus, he already dresses the part. That's a start, at least. I like the idea of doing a Group Project based on this concept. I hope somebody remembers to propose it for the next round of voting. |

I kind of saw the more "extended" Nok family to be that equivalent. Zartan, Zandar, Zarana along with Gnagahyde and Zanzibar would make a good villainous adventure team. They would need a pilot. |

What a great idea. I like the idea of Dr. Venom leading the team. I'd definitely have tio include Wild Weasel (as Sgartz mentioned) as the team's pilot, Zanzibar as a pirate/treasure hunter, Gnawgahyde as poacher, and Headman as Smuggler. |

Other than Buzzer, I don't usually see Dreadnoks working out when grouped in with other non Dreadnoks. Because of the traits that make them good Dreadnoks. |

Hate to be a killjoy, but if you look at what the GI Joe Club is doing, at the time of the Adventure Team, MARS was the big terrorist force, not Cobra, Cobra came roughly a decade later, but carry on, I still like the ideas. |
