I don't know how many of you have been fortunate enough to meet John in person, but I can tell you, with absolutely no doubt, that he is one of THE BEST vendors to have at a convention, whether it be GI Joe, Star Wars, or any other - he's a great guy, and a supporter of all thing 'customized' ... This year, I needed to stock up on some stands, and just needed some random parts, including two of his berets - I asked him, "MJ, I need two beret's for a couple of customs I'm working on this weekend...I'll be back later to buy the stands -- how much?" to which he answered, "Say 'I Love Marauder John'" so then I said, "I Love Marauder John" and he gave me the berets (keep an eye out for the upcoming customs, hopefully this week) Later, I went to buy the clear stands I needed, as well as a bunch of misc. guns (he had the genius idea of order sheets & clipboards -- fill out what you wanted, go walk around, and your order would be filled when you got back) It was one of the BEST vendor experiences I've ever had, not only at this convention, but every convention I've ever been to. Fantastic. Thanks, MJ, Jm ps. It was a family affair -- he had his dad (among others) helping him this weekend, and MJ calls his dad 'Pops' ... which only makes me respect the man more! |

He was a HUGE hit at the 2009 Canadian Joe Con when he set up. Brought his wife and son then. He's been requested to attend again more than any Joe-celeb - ESPECIALLY since it's in Toronto now. Seriously. People ask for MJ to set up at the con more than they ask for Larry Hama! |

Marauder John is one of the nicest guys I know. I always enjoy talking with him. Where and when I can I try to return the favor for his generosity. He stays busy at the conventions so usually you have to pick your times to jump in to talk to him. I hate being one of those guys messing up a sale and just stand there talking when tons of people are trying to buy. He's all around one of the highlights of the community. |

Yeah, I was really happy to finally meet him this year. I stopped by his booth and he was clearly busy, so I didn't want to bother him, just say "hi" and grab some stands, but he took the time to chat with me for a good 10 minutes. Just as great a guy as everyone says he is and more. |

Marauder John is such a jerk! I mean, he practically forced me to take an extra AKM and two of his display posters! Who does this guy think he is being friendly to everyone? |

I bumped into MJ at SDCC a few years ago while waiting in line to get a line ticket to wait in line at the Hasbro booth. He was just a nice there as he is at JoeCon. Can't say enough good things about the man. He does the hobby proud. |

I have a man crush on him. I took full advantage of his pick up order form this year. He had the clear and black stand chess board set up which was very cool to see. But the guy behind the guns is always fun to talk to when he's not busting his hump. |
