Okay, look, I know that these so-called "real-life" shows like Pawn Stars, American Pickers, and Storage Hunters are staged. So be it. I still get a kick out of watching them sometimes.

So last night on Storage Hunters, one of the bins had some toys in it. Don't think I've seen that before. And one of the bidders, a guy with Elvis-like sideburns named Jesse, won the bin, and started going through it looking for something of value.

He found some old lunch boxes, including a G.I. Joe: ARAH one, but still needed a big score, and then found what was purported to be an original Talking G.I. Joe in a dresser drawer, with its box, which he proclaimed to be worth five thousand dollars. Seemed to be in good shape.

Okay, so the show's bogus. It was still cool to see G.I. Joe on it.

I still watch them too despite believeing all the stuff is planted by producers. Pawn Stars and the original Storage Wars are my favorites. Storage Wars had some toys once. It was several boxes of stuff ranging from Star Wars to Mego super heros I think, all still in boxes and some even in collector protective plastic cases But yeah, toys are rare on those storage shows.

I think where I find these shows most enjoyable is on stuff I know nothing about. What do I know about vintage clocks? But they look nice and expensive. But as a collector of toys I know more. Which is why I dont like Toy Hunters.

Yeah I like their speculative prices they were throwing out, hehe.
