I'm drawing a complete blank. Who is depicted as the Sky Hawk pilot on the original 1984 box art?

The picture on yojoe.com isn't very clear. Is it Duke?

Just out of curiosity, what clues from the uniform tell you that, considering his face is completely obscured?

Given the release year, I think it has to be Duke. There aren't a whole lot of other figures it could be at that point.

Where is the Lt. Freddy Bamma thing from? Why does it sound familiar

I think now I know why my Ghost H.A.W.K. is currently pilotless instead of being flown by my diaper-crotch 25A Duke.

I think that was supposed to be "Lt. Frank Bamma", a character from a Jimmy Buffett song and novel and also 1 episode of the current "Hawaii 5-0" series (played by Mr. Buffett as a guest star).

Lt. Frederick Bama is the name of the pilot of the Sky hawk according to the sticker sheet that came with it. Hasbro never made a figure, I used my first Steel Brigade for him With a hawk V1 head and helmet. Called him Shrike.

Never could figure out what was all about. Both the SkyStriker's back seat and Dragonfly's gunner seat have names on them for no known Joes.

I thought the Dragonfly had lt. Talltree (airborne) on it, and the skystriker I made a custom called RIO out of a doc head and an Ace I got from a mailaway. I thought he looked like the blackd ude from topgun.
