I recently got the Con version of the Dreadnok Cycle with the big gun turret on the back, a purple and black repaint of the original red and blue version. When I was putting it together, I noticed around the base of the gun turret, there is teeth like a cog going around the lower part of the base on the bike. Was there a feature on the original that made the turret spin while the wheels rolled or something, something the Con version doesn't have? I thought the original had some kind of gimmick like that. |

The two Dreadnok Cycles I've had did not, nor did the Karate Chopper. |

I remember buying mine brand new as a kid, and it did not have this feature. Maybe it was planned but cut for cost, or maybe the teeth are just for better pivoting of the seat? |

Its just detail. I'd imagine on a "real life" version, you would have an electronic motor to rotate the seat, hence the gear. The operator would probaly use foot pedals to turn the seat platform left or right. This mold is old enough where it looks to me like they were still kitbashing model kits to add detail. The whole back of the chopper looks like a giant 1/8th scale engine. |
