Got mine in the mail today.

Honestly, it's pretty underwhelming. Not that I was expecting to be whelmed in the first place. I'm still not sure why they used 25A Spirit's legs for this figure when Arctic Snake Eyes' legs would have worked so much better. He comes with a ton of gear, Which is better than just getting a rifle, I guess. He gets a backpack, some kind of frame that attaches to the backpack, Bazooka's bazooka to hang off the frame that attaches to the backpack, a green rocket to go in the bazooka that hangs off the frame that attaches to the backpack, Spirit's knife, a white 25A Recondo rifle, another bullpup submachine gun that I think is from a POC Viper, and a snowboard with...wings, I guess? I guess that one also comes from some POC figure I didn't pay attention to. The head sculpt is really soft, it almost looks like some dude sculpted it out of play-doh or something.

Here's a picture of him with a half-assed Frostbite. See? Those legs work better, IMO.

I don't have my Iceberg figure yet but I am already making the custom fixes I will be applying to salvage that trainwreck

I sadly feel like this is one of those things where there was an original plan, and then parts weren't available or what was planned wouldn't work and they had to go with something different. I am sure that no one said, you know what would be a great idea? This!

I mean they could have used the 25th Hawk jacket, or even put a Desert Duke vest jacket on him and nailed the look. He really should have gotten a heavy machine gun, and there's more than enough of those around.

It's sad, and whoever put it together must be sadder than any of us are. But sometimes the compromises that you are forced to make, just don't work.

To put it nicely, that is not a good figure. I'm sure they did the best they could, but whatever that is has found a home elsewhere.

That was funny.

I have been thinking about doing an arctic figure custom for a while. Maybe having his gear to use will give me the kick I need to actually do it.

Anybody recognize where the backpack and frame may be from. I was thinking maybe it was an original cast for this project.

I got mine in the mail today, and I can honestly say that I've never been less excited to open a package in my life. I guess it's nice to get the PoC Arctic Duke backpack (and, to a much lesser extent, the winged snowboard), but even that's not terribly exciting since I already got the real thing a couple of years ago. I have a feeling the secondary market for these is going to be pretty slow.

Iceberg showed up, sooner than I anticipated. Now the pressure is on to finish the upgrades I planned.
