And to avoid any confusion, the other figures Glumby has pictured are the canceled Resolute Training Snake-Eyes which essentially "became" the canceled ROC Budo.... which essentially "became" Temple Guardian Snake-Eyes and the yellow Cobra Commander is a factory mock-up/test-shot hybrid for POC Cobra Commander which I think has different legs.

Great pics!

Budo still doesn't really feel like Budo to me. The original still had a sense of mobility to him, this one can't really do much.
On top of that, the Micro Force representation identifies him as "Arashikage Samurai" rather than Budo... Was the Budo name applied after the figure was designed?

Cobra Commander is fantastic. Love the swappable heads and the removable knife. Can his lasergun still fit on his back? Are those Compound Z cannisters supposed to be bombs you load into the copter pack??

The CC is cool enough to make me want one (and I've pretty much given up collecting Joes for anything but fodder these days) -- only took 30+ years to get it right ;-)

I'm surprised that Budo appears to have decent movement under the armor - but I assume the armor itself is pretty restrictive? I'm planning on getting 3 or 4 as dio pieces, since the armor sculpt is pretty sweet.

Unfortunately, no:

I will be making a backpack to fill this void. Hopefully I can get someone to cast it.

Agree with Chief on CC. I'm interested in him for fodder and for being a pretty damn definitive take. Will be getting multiples

Budo is -- just a bit much.

A couple of those Cobra Commander pictures make him look a little on the skinny side, but not all of them, and it might just be the angle. If this figure looks as cool in person as some of the pictures make him look, I'll definitely be interested! The helmet and the hood are especially impressive!

That Cobra Commander appears to address my biggest pet peeve growing up, the fact that to wear his battle helmet he had to completely change into the lighter blue uniform and to wear the hood he had to change into the darker blue uniform.

I've toyed with getting one each of the first two Cobra Commander ARAH figures, swapping heads, and then painting the heads to match the uniform.

Definitely looking to get one or two of these.

Hopefully, I plan to get two of those Cobra Commanders. You know why.
