Hasbro has said they heard the feedback that people didn't like the new 5 POA approach. That doesn't mean they have to increase POAs - maybe they'll go the Papo route all the way down to....0 POA!!! http://www.tgftoys.com/Galactic-Adventure-Figures_c1383.htm I find myself strangely drawn to these despite the big giant obvious flaw for an "action" figure. Maybe if I could get them on the cheap and hack off parts (heads, hand, boots). It's too bad Papo is set on statue-making. They have a lot of cool designs in their various lines. |

Cool designs, definitely, but I don't collect statues. |

It's one thing to get a few of these as background scene-fillers to build the ranks, but zero POA is a no sell for me. |

I'd imagine they'd sell more of these lovely statues that dont move if they were cheaper. $9 + shipping for a figure that doesn't move? ...... They are unique though. They have a star wars / warhammer 40k / starcraft mash up vibe. |

Missed opportunities: if these were articulated, I'd buy the living crap out of them. They've got a charm that I don't find in the things they seem to be inspired by (Halo and the Warhammer stuff), and I like the fantasy-meets-space theme that they're going for. But I have too many in-progress custom projects as it is to even think about all the cutting, dremeling, band-aids, and trips to the ER that would be required to articulate these guys. |

I think that the playset might be fun. The play dynamic here must be the same as army men. |

The design reminds me of the golden age of schlock-sci-fi serials (Commando Cody and the like), and it's beautiful. The price is insane, but if I ever saw that thing selling for something reasonable, I'd grab it in a heartbeat. |

i wouldnt mind the 5 POA figures i could live with them if the sculpting was nice but the new 5 POA figures i keep seeing also look worse than the well articulated figures. but i also dont use statues, its a shame because there are some really cool looking papo and schliech figures. |

Yes, exactly Has there ever been a custom challenge to articulate a fig like these? Could be fun, or like you said, just too much pain! I've taken 5 POA figs from the likes of Chap Mei and added diff. arms and legs to give mostly full articulation. Maybe something similar could be done here - but parts matching could be tough on these since they're pretty unique designs. |

I've been bashing up a few of these statuary figs of late, just haven't finished them up for one reason or another. I highly recommend y'all give it a try as they're great inspiration and fodder, imho. Them Schleich animal mutant warriors are awesome. |
