Post subject:  Cobra Hammerhead: Who is the crew?

I am going to be buying a new Cobra Hammerhead BUT I don't know which underwater Cobra troops should actually canonically crew the Hammerhead. I thought their was just Eels and Hydro Vipers but their is a crap load more troops than that. I guess they have just regular divers, they have Morays or something like that, I know their is a lot of different troops.

So to sum it up, excluding drivers from other Cobra underwater vehicles. We have at the least.

Cobra Underwater troopers

Cobra Eels

Cobra Morays

Cobra Hydro Vipers

If I am missing any please list them. Which guys would canonically be assigned too the Cobra Hammerhead?

Ps I was thinking about getting a very very large water tank with lots of underwater plants and gravel making it a giant diorama. Do I need to treat any of the pieces including the Hammerhead to prevent deterioration?

Depending on if you see Decimator as an idividual or soldier, you could have the following

Base Vehicle
Decimator x2

Command Module
Lamprey x1

One-Man Sub x2
Sub Viper x2

Sea Sleds x2
Eel or Hydro-Viper x2

My 2¢, but there isn't anything canonical to my knowledge, only personal preference.

I always wanted a Laser Viper, I don't mind the Ranger Viper, I hate the Rock Viper. I am sure they will all drown if they where to ride the Hammerhead.

Thats cool, thanks for the list which ones do you think would be assigned to the Hammerhead?

I love Hydro Vipers but I have a feeling they don't work with the vehicle because they are a deep sea trooper, some how despite it needing a pressurization chamber, the Hammerhead is a shallow water tank... Personally I feel it is meant to be used in the deep sea but whatever.

Who is the lowest ranked Cobra diver? The Cobra diver or Eel?

Unless your talking 25th cobra diver....there is not one in ARAH style.. Unless you make custom ones out of Torpedo bodies... Could always use the Eel v2 as reg divers or the undertows as the base divers.. but basically its up to you...

Only guestion now is do i need to treat the hammerhead and collectables with water proofing agent if i am going to keep them underwater.

Always felt the Hammerhead is more of a just-offshore type vehicle, not a deep water vehicle. Designed to drive off the beach until it's just barely submerged, hence the jet skis (they don't do much good down deep).

It depends on the water your putting them in. Like a fishtank? An outdoor pond? A chlorinated pool? With or without fish in any of those, well except the pool I hope.

I have always wondered how many troops could it hold?

There are 7 "seats"... 2 in the Main tank, and then the 5 detachable vehicles.

There are no footpegs in the Air Lock, but you can easily cram 3-4 figures in there...maybe more.

If you're gonna do a duo, there's no good reason to use actual water, imho. Its not gonna add anything necessary, and only brings a host of problems.
