Just got this email from the Club about the SDCC exclusive set from this year.

We have been allocated a very limited number of the 2013 Comic Con GI Joe and Transformers “The Epic Conclusion” Vehicle/Figure sets from Hasbro. We are offering this set to our club members, both Transformer and GI Joe, but in order to be fair to everyone due to the limited number we received, we have decided to have a lottery drawing for the opportunity to purchase this set. If you want to be included in this lottery drawing, you must send an email to Lottery@FunPubinc.com ONLY. Send only one email with “LOTTERY” as the subject.

The cutoff for sending your email will be Friday, July 26, 2013 at 9am central time. We will not accept any emails after this time. Geez is this why HTS didn't list the cross over set with the other exclusives?

And I just won a lottery in the Pearl Jam fan club for the "opportunity to buy" reserved seats to a concert in October, so I don't like my chances here.

So......to any lawyers out there, how would this court filing affect the sale of these? I would think Hasbro is already screwed...IF they lose the court case, since they already sold a bunch of them, so is this any reason to hold off on selling the rest through HTS?

well I'm not a lawyer but maybe Hasbro put them on hold just to consult with their legal team

Or The Club bought up the rest of the HTS stock because HTS didn't feel the quantities remaining were worth their time to ship them back to their warehouse from SDCC and then out to customers. Better financially to ship them all in one go to one end customer and be done with them.

I doubt the Club getting these has anything to do with the legal case. The deal was probably already done before the convention. It might be why HTS hasn't put them up yet but I doubt it. Probably just a logistics thing.

And just to further diminish your chances of winning that lottery... the lottery is being held between both members of the Joe Club AND the Transformers Club.
