Leatherneck - http://generalsjoes.com/reviews/2014/50 ... rneck.html

Destro - http://generalsjoes.com/reviews/2014/50 ... estro.html

Leatherneck is tall since he's built on the Retaliation Ultimate Roadblock body but otherwise that is a good looking figure.

I love that Destro but that rifle in the briefcase is plastic uh, awesomeness.

Really looking forward to this set now. Leatherneck is one of my favorite characters and I'm glad to have an impressive one joining my collection soon.

Leatherneck looks pretty cool.
Looks like I might have to buy that set after all.
Too bad PoC Hawk comes in the set.

Fantastic reviews as usual. Both figures look great and I can't wait to get them in hand.

I'm looking forward to this set now. Bother Destro and Leatherneck look awesome.

Yea! They finally gave Leatherneck's cover eight sides instead of six! Now if they'd only realize that Marines blouse their boots and roll their sleeves with the outside cuff showing, this figure would be perfect!

Yeah, I'm LOVING that Leatherneck figure. I never found any of those Rock figures from the Retalliation line as the I rarely saw anything on the pegs.

This is another modern era figure that is tempting me to finally learn how to disassemble them and repaint. While I can fix the improper shirt sleeve roll-up with paint, I may have to get a bit creative with the boot blouse. I have some Marine Corps friends and boot blousing is a big deal to them. But yeah, that octagon hat is PERFECT. I'm hoping someone hollows one out and casts it.

In The first month of Boot Camp (first phase), the recruits don't blouse their boots and and button the blouse all the way up. By second phase, they're allowed to blouse the boots and undo the top button. But if the platoon screws up, the Drill Instructor makes them unblose the boots and button the top button again. Kind of an embarrassing punishment. If a third phase platoon does it, they screwed up big time. So it's drilled into our heads that unbloused boots is meant as an embarrassment. And no, they don't do this when a Marine gets into the Fleet.

Yeah, I knew it was something like that.

I love the Marine Corps traditions and was a signature away from joining when I was looking into the various branches. I ultimately went with Air Force just because I was interesting in getting into a technical field.

It looks like the Leatherneck he got was a defect figure. I hope the retail ones are better.

Oh and they have been found in L.A. already!

The Leatherneck and Destro came in the plastic inserts so they were most likely removed from a sealed box.
I'd hope that rejects are rejected before they get that far.

I totally agree, however...
since they are dealing with a fanbase that tends to refer to magazines as 'clips', LMG's as 'heavy machine guns', and Humvees as 'Hummers', I don't think they are too worried about most of the fans being interested in accuracy. ;-)

Besides, it is actually very representative of the way the '86 figure looked.

In Air Force parlance, a clip is what we use to keep our paperwork held together, and a magazine is what we read while using the latrine.
